Can someone please lay out what happened here? I have been following this thread closely since the beginning and I guess I don't have the learnings I thought I did cause I am confused as hell!

Here's what I (think) understand:

 

1) There once was a boy named Danny who wanted to be an escort.

 

2) His ex-pimp (?!) decided to help him get some sort of status around here by turning in a bunch of fake reviews.

 

3) Young Danny was the topic of many discussions due to his alarmingly boyish looks.

 

4) A fight ensued with AsnBoyToy and a few others about Danny

 

5) AsnBoyToy comes clean and says he wrote the fake reviews.

 

6) Danny writes in saying he's a crackhead with breasts, which I'm sorry, but I thought that was a joke.

 

7) Then Danny says he is really an escort and please forgive him.

 

I am more confused than ever. If AsnBoytoy is his ex-pimp and his ex best friend, why did he write fake good reviews? Then why did he come clean? The discusssion wasn't about his fake reviews, it was about Danny's actual age.

Plus, is Danny really a breasted crackhead? Or was that a from the fake Danny?

Is this whole thing for real or I am dreaming a Melrose Place episode?

I just want to point out two things. First is that in life in general we sure believe what we want to believe is true. This holds for everybody to some extent and I don't exclude myself. The second is that, for better or for worse, there's an inherent bias in the reviews for the escort. Despite the red flags with the newer reviewers, it was the established reviewer who's written a number of previous positive reviews who was given the third degree. One could certainly ask why the new reviewers were given little scrutiny, yet the negative review from the established reviewer wouldn't go online without a phone call (until the truth came out).

The purpose of this message is not to place a value judgment on this practice. This message is merely to point out that this bias exists, and we should recognize that it does.

I do not have all the facts yet, but this is what I know.

 

1. Danny Damon is the age he says he is.

 

2. Danny was "represented" by Asnboytoy aka DannyDamonSF aka other email addresses which I will keep to myself for now.

 

3. All of the email you may have received from Danny was NOT from Danny, but from Asnboytoy, from now on known as PIMP.

 

4. Pimp says he has been trying to get Danny off drugs for several years and used this site to get Danny money.

 

5. This site fell for it, including HooBoy and others, which scared Pimp because he didn't think Danny could face up to the lies that Pimp had posted. Pimp began posting messages that Danny was no longer taking new clients.

 

6. Danny wrote to this site saying he was the real Danny and that Pimp was abusing him. Also, he WAS taking clients.

 

7. HooBoy pulled all reviews of Danny. Pimp went so far as to post Danny's real name on the MESSAGE CENTER and made allegations that I do not want to repeat.

 

8. HooBoy posted a review from a VERY CREDIBLE reviewer with the caveat that no reviews will be posted on Danny unless they have 5 or more credible reviews. That is because the PIMP is flooding HooBoy's mailbox with damaging allegations, fake reviews and other desperate measures to discredit Danny.

 

9. We do not recommend Danny but we do not make any recommendations. The only review currently posted on him is a negative review and Danny has not responded to it. We do believe that Danny may have some problems and we only wish him well and hope someone will come to his aid. Obviously, his pimp has abandoned him.

 

10. Many people received email from DannyDamonSF@aol.com. That was from Danny's Pimp. Danny's only address is DannyDamon@aol.com.

 

11. Because they had a relationship that spanned many years and their breakup was sudden and vindictive, I would be wary of anything written by them or about them unless you were sure it was from a credible source. It could be a lover's spat that has been settled.

 

I know for a fact both of them have lied to me.

I was able to reconstruct a lot from just reading, but there were gaps that I couldn't fill in, I suppose having to do with the deleted message posts and reviews. I think it's important that you did that, and I hope that you will also give a sanitized general idea of any further developments that might not be suitable for full public disclosure. I say that not out of prurient interest. (Well, OK, I'll admit that after following along for this much time I have been hooked on this little soap opera...) Rather, I think this is an extremely important thread, not for the specifics of this particular plot, but because it illustrates the power of sunlight and of this site. (I have something more to say about that, but I can't just now, so I'll say it later.)

I suspect that most people are assuming that AsnBoyToy stands for "Asian Boy Toy".

Someone in one of the previous posts even unconsciously expanded it as AsianBoyToy.

After catching up on the last few days and reading what he has been doing, I am sure that it really stands for "AsinineBoyToy".

From what I understood, the ex-pimp ex-friend was still his pimp and friend when he started to do that, so he was just hyping his business. The ex- part comes along in the middle of this sordid little tale and then there started the phase of the ex-pimp trashing Danny. (Things move fast around here, baby.) And he came clean because he got outed by Sherlock HooBoy and maybe also by the things he was saying on this site that didn't add up.
