I'm a big fan of rimming. I enjoy getting rimmed better than doing it, but with the right ass, and the right lover, it's almost as big a turn on to rim as it is to get rimmed. (Erik-Farmboy from New York and Trent Scott in Phoenix immediately come to mind.) They key, obviously, is not to go down on a guy unless his ass is clean and doesn't smell. Most often, I rim in the shower to make sure of my lover's cleanliness. I am mindful of the risks, so I don't do it very often. If it were the kiss of death that some suggest, I figure that, considering how popular it is, there would be alot more sick men.

As for escorts who rim, I've found two in Phoenix. One is Mark (who is reviewed on this site) and another is a guy named Bill who advertises in the New Times (under massages.) Mark is very good. I've never returned the favor, mostly because he has more hair that I prefer.

Alas, Zachary is no longer with Premier when I last spoke with Michael at Premier. Any ideas what has become of him?

Thanks for the article. Very disconcerting I must say.

There is a vaccination available for typhoid fever (S. Typhi), but it is not routinely given in North America. I recently got it before travel to Africa (not thinking I might need it for "travel" in the U.S.).

Like Hepatitis B vaccine, it might be a good idea for sexually active gay men, especially those involved in rimming, to get the vaccination anyway. Escorts who rim or get rimmed, pay attention!

Of course, this isn't going to offer protection against other parasites with fecal-oral transmission. Also, if I remember, the typhoid vaccine might have been about $125 if not covered by insurance AND it lasts only a few years.

If the U.S. were enlightened like the Netherlands, we might have state-mandated vaccinations for all these diseases for all sex-workers. I only hope the future will show more enlightenment in public health policy.
