Not too much concern about liver damage I think. More likely kidney than liver but I guessing here -- protein/amino acid breakdown generates ureic (sp?) acid which in large amounts affects the kidney, I believe. It is recommended you drink 9-10 glasses of water per day for best use of the creatine supplement.... this also helps the kidneys flush out any ureic acid.

Some swear by it; some swear at it -- seems a 50/50 proposition. I have tried both. The liquid is most convenient used right before or 30 minutes before workout.

My experience: I tried the liquid first (Muscletech) but I sort of had one hand tied behind my back at the time -- I was into heavy weight cutting and was taking in minimun carbs. Not conducive to best muscle growth or creatine absorption -- but my concern was just maintaining what muscle mass I had during weight cutting. It worked and muscle mass even increased some.

I eventually added some carbs to diet to permit me to sling around more iron... I also changed to the effervescent creatine powder to try it. Both worked well with decreased weight loss but increased muscle and dereased fat. The liquid may have worked as well though, I haven't yet tried it with the increased carbs.

See for yourself which is best.

the list is long and expensive for the most part... in decreasing order of importance as I see it (I do not include testosterone prohormones in this list* -- these have special issues to consider)

glutamine

ZMA (zinc magnessium aspartate compound that increases testosterone levels))

(Designer Whey Protein has both of above in it)

methoxy isoflavone (terrific reviews, I think it works)

tribulus terrestus * (herbal that increases testosterone levels)

HMB (very expensive -- not worth it I think , especially if you do the methoxy isoflavone )

the list goes on....

GNC has just came out with a new line of products: "Pro Performance Elite Series", They claim you can skip the monthly loading phase with their "Mega Creatine" powder.

Lets take into consideration..before the critical vultures attack..that these are only fantasies..not endorsements..I am really curious.
