I think there is a good deal of conceptual sloppiness in your argument as well. A restaurateur is selling a consumable product; it should make no difference to him who purchases it. An escort is offering physical intimacy with the customer; unless he is a robot, it does make a difference who puchases the service. I would rather see the escort's preferences laid out in an ad than spend my time and money pursuing him only to be rejected, or worse yet, hire him and then have him fail to function with me because of his unstated tastes or prejudices. The escort's preferences may be based on old-fashioned racism or bad experiences or something inaccessible in his personal psychology, but they are as real and as important to him as my desire to hire someone with a big cock and body hair who has something indefinably attractive in his manner is to me. Should a gay escort be condemned as sexist if he refuses to have sex with a bisexual male/female couple? Should Nazi skinheads be refused the right to advertise as escorts if there are guys who are turned on by that image and want to hire them? Political correctness may say so, but I think that is nonsense. I may personally choose not to hire someone I perceive as racist/sexist/ageist, etc., but that doesn't mean I think he should be put out of business.

i think it's really out-of-line to consider alejandro racist because he states he doesn't have sex with black men. probably, if we were speaking with alejandro personally, the tone with which he states this would tell us a lot. the rest of his website is written in a very sweet tone (i find his halting english charming and certainly more proficient than my struggling spanish). i would be surprised from the rest of his site if he had any animosity towards blacks; i think he just has his preferences. how he treats blacks on a day-to-day basis on non-escort-related issues is obviously another matter.

 

guess i want to say that we shouldn't make assumptions about other people until we have certain knowledge of their beliefs.

An escort is a free agent contracting for "services" and can set any conditions that he wishes for those services. What's next, m4m escorts will be accused of sex dicrimination if they don't "do" women. Get real. Come, now. If an escort doesn't "do" women, is he being sexist? If he advertizes as a pure top, is he "discriminating" against other tops? (the answer is yes, but not all "discrimination" is bad--I discriminate against vanilla when I get a cup of chocolate ice cream). Would we be offended against someone who refused to "do" pre-18-year olds?

Have you guys ever noticed that for most of us, if we are asked to describe the kind of guy that most turns us on, we don't come out with a description of either our lover or the men we most play around with?
