Dickho,

Money up front almost always means THEY CAN'T GET HARD (i.e., gay for pay, "bi", bottom, whatever). Fine if you're a top, but that ain't workin' for me. Sorry you took the fall, but my instincts and rule told me it would play out exactly as it did with you. Class. Are we learning anything?

Later.

RE: "Red Flags" and Billy Brandt

I am glad you had a similar experience with Billy. He gets a lot

of negative comments. Although he finally did take the tip I

offered him, his initial reaction was to tell me that "with my high rates you shouldn't also give me a tip." Never heard that from an escort before. If anyone has the opportunity to "date"

Billy they should do. In addition to the great sex, he told me

enough about himself to fill a chapter in a book. Go ahead and hire Aaron Lawrence or Rick Munroe. I'm sure they are fine, but

Billy is sexier and gives new meaning to the word "escort."

I agree that isn't a good sign to pay up front. If the escort doesn't trust you, why should you trust him.

While most clients and escorts that post and read this side are genuine, there are lots of unscrupulous (sp) guys out there (clients and escorts). Unfortunately, there is a scamming in this industry.

Only once did I pay upfront, and guess I was lucky. The date was fine, and no performance issues. The guy was nice-looking and personable after a cool start. Think his name was Nick, in Houston. Asian guy with a hot body.

This was one of the first few escorts I dealt with, but I was taken back by the request for cash upfront. I questioned this, and he said he was ripped off a few times. I said, ok, but I guess a potential tip is unlikely since the cash has already been taken care of.

Since then I never had someone request cash upfront, but most are guys I have read about from this site.

Alan: I did have a great time with Billy, which is a big tribute to him, as we are both tops! If you are interested, I wrote a review of him... I write reviews under the handle mark15. I used that for my first review, and have used that ever since, even though I post on this board under a different screen name. Next time, and there will be a next time, I think I will spank the boy! hehe. That should be fun!

Great idea. Billy loves to be spanked, the harder the better.

Of course, he gives you directions throughout which are mostly "can't you spank me harder than that." The experience is

only good for him if his ass gets really red. Considering that Billy has one of the greatest asses in the world, this is very hot experience. Good luck.

Dick: Yes, you did read right. He is expensive...so it would be hard to make him a frequent regular. Especially when LA is loaded with hot boys at a fraction of the cost (Brogan SPRINGS to mind and other places...hehe). But just wanted to make the comment that if you have a fantasy or the occasional craving for porn-STAR company, Billy is actually a cute boyish sweetie (despite his initial attempts to give you some attitude), and a pretty fun escort!

A top that likes to get spanked until his ass his red...would that be a versatile top?

I never ask for the cash upfront. I try to make my time with a

client as much like a date as possible. But, if a client wants to pay first, that's fine.

Also, I never count the money in the client's presence. There are exceptions though. For an overnighter, I like to have at least 1/2 my fee in advance and the balance as I'm leaving.

I can attest to the fact that Jeff does not count the money in front of the client. The first time I saw him I accidentally short-changed him by $50 because the bills were new and sticky (NO COMMENTS,PLEASE!!!!!!!!). Even when I buzzed him from downstairs to get directions back to the highway, he didn't mention it, although in the few intervening minutes he had had time to count. Only later, in an e-mail, did he mention it and even said, Don't worry about sending it to me; you can give it to me next time. The next time I did. And although there would have been a next time anyway, Jeff's whole tone was so gentlemanly that I'd probably have gone back out of a mixed sense of gratitude and admiration. As it was, I went back for more venal reasons, but I am still grateful and admiring nonetheless!

There was only once in my own experiences that an escort counted the money in my presence. He was also the only one who asked for the money up front. Guess what? He was also the only one who took the money and ran. :-(

BTW Will, why was the money STICKY? (Now don't beat me up, mine is not a comment, just a question!) ;-)

Billy is actually worth $500. You are getting one of the sexiest

men in the world. Billy is great in bed and a lot of fun. Give

me Billy over Tom Cruise any day. Clearly, you would have to be rich to afford him on a regular basis, use your $300 tax refund.

I did not get sense any of the attitude that Marc mentioned. I saw him in Philadelphia, not L.A., far from the porn scene. And we talked very little about his porn star status, mostly about his life in general, childhood and teenage years. Nice, nice guy.

"Give me Billy over Tom Cruise any day."

Are you saying that you've made it with Mr. Cruise? Or that you would like to see Billy "over" Tom with those moviestar feet waving in the breeze? (Sure to sell a lot of tickets on the big screen...or even a small screen.)

RE: Money upfront issue

So do any of you inquire, when making the appointment "You don't require the money upfront, do you?"? It would seem the escort might get suspicious of that question. Then what do you do if the escort asks for the money upfront and he's taken the time to come to you? Do you give him travel money and cancel?

I'm shocked that such an outstanding escort as Michael Vincenzo wants the money upfront now. Once burned, thrice shy? What's the world come to?

Would like to hear what others think on this.

You are right, my lawyer has advised me to say that "I'm 54 years

old, made mistakes in my life, but out of respect for my family and Tom Cruise's family I can't comment on sex with Cruise."

Now to reality, what I meant was that Brandt was so good; it's hard to beleive that even Tom Cruise would be better.

RE: Money upfront issue

I agree 100% that money should not be paid up front, especially with escorts who have reviews here. If the escort doesn't trust me then why should I trust him? The only exception I would make to this rule is if a escort is young and just starting out. Even then I would judge his demeanor and manner before paying first, and would probably just put it on a dresser or in plain sight somewhere.

When I am dealing with someone with no reviews on this site, I tell them on the phone for their "legal" safety and mine I won't give them the fee (or even mention it) until after the session is over with. That almost always prevents any problems as it lets the escort know up front in a diplomatic way that he is not getting paid first.

RE: Money upfront issue

Dick,

I do things similar to you except I don't use an envelope. I always get large bills (100's and 50's) and leave them in a "fan" position near the phone. That way the escort can quickly see that it's all there. :-)

When first meeting an escort, I show them where their fee is and I've never had one take the money until after the session. I've also had to remind a couple of my regular guys to pick up the money. (They were almost out the door when I noticed the money was untouched.)

Just a word of caution. I had a friend who hired an escort and placed the money in the envelope. A couple days later he received a call from the escort who stated that the money was counterfeit and seized at his bank. (In defense of the escort, I honestly believe the money was seized because he's always been honest with me. Plus, he didn't get nasty with my friend and only suggested that he check his other money. The escort also didn't give the bank the client's name as the source of the money.)

That's another reason why I don't use an envelope. I want to make sure the escort has an opportunity to "inspect" the fee before they leave. I wouldn't be the least bit offended if an escort checked it for a watermark or used one of those counterfeit-detecting pens before accepting the money.

RE: Money upfront issue

I wouldn't ask if he wants the money upfront during a setup call. It is assumed the payment is made at the end of the date.

If he were to make the point beforehand, I would decline his services.

RE: Money upfront issue

As I said above, when seeing someone new I used to bring the subject up myself by saying "I normally pay 25% in advance and the rest on completion." On every single occasion when I did this the escort replied that he didn't need anything at all up front, so I eventually stopped doing that.

These days if an escort brought the issue up when we actually met I would do the same thing, offer 25% up front, take it or leave it. If he asked for the entire amount up front I would just tell him goodbye. I don't care about the fact that some escorts who have positive reviews on this site ask for the fee up front. I have hired several people who have positive reviews and have been less than thrilled with their performance, so I am not going to treat someone differently simply because he has positive reviews here.

I'm sorry, I don't get the relationship between an envelope and counterfeit money.

The day I stand in my house while an escort holds my money up to the light IS THE LAST DAY HE CROSSES MY THRESHOLD! (Oops, I got a bit excited there.)
