"Hidden" on Rentboy?

What does it mean when an escort's Rentboy ad says that it is "hidden?" I searched by name for a favorite and received the message that the ad was hidden. I've never seen that before.

On the old site, if you wanted to take your ad offline for a few days

you could check a box in the control panel to "hide" your ad from view.

It would then disappear from the site - useful if you just needed the ad

to be down for a day or two but didn't want it removed, thus losing the

whole month you had paid for.

 

Odd that you can still find this escort's ad though - kind of defeats

the purpose of "hiding" it. I guess now when you hide your ad, it just

doesn't show up in the general searches, but if you search for a

specific ad you'll get that message.

A few NYC Working Guys I know have been HIDING their ADS for a long time now. Works well for the BI-Coastal Workers! LOL

 

This works well for them, since I believe IF you Pull your AD off of one of the First Pages, "Ya Loses Your Spot" and it will take a while to get it back! Especially with the Amount of Guys Advertising in NYC, The Number keeps going Up and Up!

 

Being Buried in the back pages at this point in time, with SO-SO Pix's can't get you too many Contacts at this point in time. As some guys have said... "It ain't like the Good Ole Days on Rentboy"! ;-)
