I was cleaning up my computer and wiped out Roxio. Now I cannot burn anything but my ass.

Who can tell this dolt of 75 how to get it back from the original disc?

Or must I buy it new. It originally came with the dell Windows XP..

What I really need is the old PX.

thanks

I'd start by calling Dell tech support. :-(

The problem with their CD is that it's probably an "image" CD, meaning it will blow away everything on your hard disk and restore you to factory-shipped condition. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS! There's generally no way to install just a single component from that disc.

Dell may have a separate download that's just the Roxio software. That's what you really need.

If that doesn't work, the next call is to Roxio. But be prepared for them to tell you their deal with Dell is for Dell to take all support calls. Still, if you're nice enough you can often get a tech who will take care of you.

Good luck! I'll be interested in hearing what you find out!
