Daddy, I think that you should limit the postings to the travel section. You have people posting a month in advance and their sycophants keep them "bumped". The lesser known escorts are buried.

The postings to the travel section should be just that and no "bumping. You get one post and that is it.

Let's face it. Other readers could do the same and then all you got is one bump after the other. Sort it out, mate.

I suspect if we poll 20,000 visitors, we'd get 20,000 different answers on this one. I've actually asked before about making that section "announcement-only" and got pretty well shouted down internally.

I suspect the current policy of deleting travel announcements that are obviously expired is probably as much restriction as should ever be made. We shouldn't restrict escorts' opportunities. If anything, they should get a wide swath in the travel section. What other posters do there is more a reflection on those other posters than on the escorts.

Just my opinion, of course.

If you see an escort's travel announcement dropping into obscurity (in a forum that rarely exceeds 2 pages), feel free to give them a gratuituous bump. You might make a friend! ;-)

IMO the current situation is just fine. Since its generally kept current by the moderators I don't see any reason to limit it to announcement-only. The occasional bump is no different to me than an advertisment that runs multiple times on television during an evening. (Of course the networks are paid for that but I hope you get the analogy.) However, if it gets out of hand then the moderators need to take action.

I have a very heavy business travel schedule. For me the section offers a chance to see who might be in a city I will be visiting in the near future. Consequently I have linked up with some guys I would likely not have met for a while.

And you are right about the client bumps in that section. Its easy to spot some favorites or some not-so-favorites as well. I say let the boys post there as is the current situation. Its just about the only forum they have where they don't have to worry as much about being ganged up on by some posters.

Well that's one opinion. That leaves 19,999 to go. :p

Make that 19,998 to go, or should it be 19,997, as deej also replied.

I say don't mess with what works! Being in IT, I'm sure you've heard the expression "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it"!

WTF??? Nothing stopping the "lesser known" escorts from bumping their own posts is there??????, so just HOW are they "buried"?

No one, and I repeat no one, should get upset about "bumps" in the escort travels section, whether those bumps are provided by current/prior clients or by the escorts themselves, as it's just a "heads-up" travel announcement by escorts.

I'm so SORRY, that you have no current/prior clients that will "bump" your travel announcements, and most don't, but you could do what all the other escorts do in that situation, and "bump" your own posting???? Yeah, not so cool, but wtf?, many of the best reviewed escorts on this site, do it!, and no one thinks less of them for doing so! What was your point again??

How is it an abuse? The forum isn't called "Escort Travels this week". (Or even this month.)

I've seen more than a few guys plan, for instance, a SoCal tour where they're not quite sure which days they'll be in LA, San Diego, or Palm Springs, but client feedback/interest helps them firm up their plans.

IOW, they cut a city short where there isn't interest and add days in a city where there's more interest. Seems like good customer service to me. <shrug> What's the abuse?

Most of the inquiries you speak of happen in the deli. I guess I can't tell you how far ahead is too far ahead, so you have a point. But my guess is most clients don't book six months ahead. So a six month posting doesn't seem to be so much about an escort's travels as his need for attention.

Some posters hijack threads for attention, others attack people for attention, and some even dig up posts from years ago for attention. It seems to me that Scott's travel posting in the appropriate forum was appropriate.

It isn't as if he is planning a trip to say Palm Springs where he can easily navigate his direction on a moments notice if needed.

I would think that European clients interested and not currently on Scott's posted path could contact him therefore allowing him to make adjustments to his travels if warranted. Any advance adjustments might save Scott money in airfare or other travel expenses.

Just my thoughts.

You haven't seen the volume of alerts the moderators get for date changes in Escort Travel. It's actually a pretty active forum for the moderator that handles it.

I can only guarantee you one thing: someone will bitch about ANY limit. OK, two things: the moderators will slip on enforcement of the limit and somebody will bitch about allowing something outside the limit.

I see no reality-based metric to set a limit like this. It would be arbitrary and pulled out of someone's ass, and would only cause rancor while adding absolutely nothing of value.
