Sluggish

Since the server upgrade the entire site has been somewhat sluggish. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I have noticed the same. After reading your post I did a ping on this site and 5 others. The average on all the other sites was 28-32 milliseconds which is about par for my connection. The pings to M4M ran from 109-134 milliseconds which is surprisingly slow for broadband.

Yes, response time does appear to be sluggish.

 

According to Alertra.com, message center page load response times from multiple sites around the globe average to three seconds.

 

Here is a snapshot of the recent response times:

At the same time, response times for CNN.com and WashingtonPost.com averaged to around one second.
