In our effort to support the return of Ben Versce to the Gaiety stage Cooper and I asked Denise when she would be having Ben come back to the G. We asked while we were paying our admission and her reply was when he calls her.

After we entered the theater she surprised us by coming out of her booth. She told us that it wasn't because of his fight with Neo that he hasn't been asked back. It wasn't because Ben brought in the police after the fight. It was because of Ben's "attitude".

She said she wanted to show us something and went into the dj booth. She showed us a sign Ben had written. On it was written "My Parody of a Gaiety Show" and beneath that was "Place Tips Here" with an arrow under that.

It seems that when Ben last performed he had made this sign, went out on the stage and layed down. Denise was very upset. When she confronted Ben he told her that the audience didn't want to see him dance, they just wanted to see his dick.

She then went on to say that he had showed up during the Gay Pride weekend with two guys who he wanted to be his back up dancers without an audition and getting her permission.

Denise said she hasn't heard from Ben since that time. So...if Ben is to come back to the G it looks like it will take some effort to calm down Denise and requests from his fans won't do much good.

If you read this Ben, looks like you have to talk to the lady in charge and try to smooth things over.

Actually Foxy, Ben talked to Denise at the Gaiety in mid July and it was very cordial and friendly by both of them (I would describe it that Denise was very happy to see Ben) and the conversation involved dancing again at the Gaiety. Also, then two days later on Monday afternoon, Ben and Denise spoke which was the same afternoon that you, Cooper, Jackhammer and I saw the first Monday afternoon show. You don't remember that Ben later joined us in the lounge that day? So Foxy, that is at two times that I personally know that "she has heard from Ben since that time" which is not quite the same thing as not heard from at all.

About the other stuff concerning the sign and the dancers, I don't know enough to comment.

Foxy, You gave a very accurate report on our conversation with Denise regarding Ben. There were other things said, but the bottom line is, IF Ben wants to dance again at the Gaiety, he has to do what all the other dancers do, and that is, call Denise and set up a schedule. What Denise said is, "Ben hasn't called".

I agree John.

Seems the story is changing again from Denise.

I WONDER WHO SHE IS PROTECTING HERE?

Anyone have the logical answer to this question?

Want to agitate Denise? Ask her when Neo (the love slave) is outta there!

tonytender, what are you talking about? I've been following the messages on Ben and Neo, I don't recall Denise ever saying anything regarding why Ben isn't dancing. How is her story "changing"?

out to John Pela, what's your problem? In the past 15 minutes, you've just replied to almost every thread in this forum. Got something to hide? :-(

Just the time element of when she talked to Ben last.

Read John's timeline please.

Cooper: I'm sorry but English is English:

When Denise says to you that she has not heard from Ben since Gay Pride weekend when in fact Ben and she talked specifically about dancing at the Gaiety in mid July that is a distortion of the truth, especially since both you and Foxy saw Ben that same weekend in the lounge. Ben didn't sneak into the lounge- he got there via Denise letting him through the exit door and chatting with him.

I don't doubt that Foxy reported accurately what you were told by Denise. That was not my point. But you didn't see first hand what you were reporting of the events she described back in June. Of course that being said, in the end it is her place to hire who she wants to have around her or dance.

Foxy,

It doesn't read from your post that you would like to see Ben back. Quite the contrary. Of course, my conflict of interest obviously is that I am a big, big fan of Ben.

Foxy,

Why didn't you ask Denise why Neo has to act like the audience is one huge, big bore to him and that he would rather be anywhere but on that stage? I would guess that the sign that Denise says Ben wrote was probably a parody or reaction to Neo's performance on stage (and yes to the conflict between Neo and Ben which I believe occurred the previous day) and just doing enough to collect the daily performance fee as opposed to Gaiety dancers in general.

Pierce NY:

MORE TO THE POINT- WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? There are hundreds of threads in this forum and I have responded to maybe 20 that interest me. Stick to the facts and be honest... 20 does not equal 200+ threads or has math concepts changed. I have insomnia these past few nights and if I want to reply to a couple of dozen threads, then why do you have a problem with it?

Maybe if you lived where I do and were facing a category 5 hurricane (only 3 have hit the US mainland in last 100 years) maybe you would be replying to threads that interest you and not sleeping. I wish you were here on the MS to FL gulf coast in a couple of days-maybe you would grasp what is involved better.

Got something to hide you write... If you are referring to this particular thread, NO!! since I'm posting to it and bringing it up to the top of the forum again, aren't I?

"Time Line"? This is getting to sound like an episode of "Without A Trace" or "CSI Miami"

I think it should be investigated by CNN - Anderson Cooper would be the perfect reporter to dig into it.

Think about this.

It looks to me that Neo was right after all.

His anti-Ben remark a couple of weeks ago to me was correct. He knew that Ben would not return all along.

This earlier remark is what started this subject/thread to begin with.

God Bless us all!

Looks like Neo has a real grasp and maybe influence on running the show. ;(

Neo, who is going to win the fourth race at Belmont Park this weekend?

I don't think you're wrong. But Devon in his webjournal did give a pretty graphic description of a "private" with Mr. Versace. For a straight boy it sounded pretty hot.

And of course who could forget your own famous review of BV's performance on the Gaiety stage? I'm sure modesty prevented you from mentioning it. :p

Devon's review of Ben can be found in his Diary entry for Feb 11 & 12

You also might remember this from your English SATs

Ben Versace is to Neo as a luscious creamed-filled eclair is to:

a) a wet noodle

b) a rotten banana peel

c) dog poo

FFF:

I remember your excellent review of Ben Versace in late 2002. As As I recall that a big fan of his even read to him your review.

Jeff:

Devon's webjournal of a private with Mr. Versace as well as his performance and the anxiously waiting in the lounge for one's favorite dancer from that day's lineup to emerge (which I think we have all done at one time or another) was very hot.

Whether I see Ben Versace perform in NYC or Chicago, it doesn't matter to me - its just as far and same airfare to either one. The two venues which he strips in Chicago are more fun anyway and very hot performance venues (especially Madrigals Club). The patrons are more mixed, wilder, fun crowd and being able to drink alcohol while watching the dancers is nice!

The last time I saw Ben perform at the Gaiety was the last weekend in April 2004 when Denise called him Monday afternoon to fill in for Jason Adonis, the featured dancer who did not show up. Ben was there on short notice by the second show that afternoon and stayed through the weekend (Jason never showed up)to perform. I more recently saw him perform at Cocktail Bar in Chicago last month.

>Wow! CHILL OUT Pela, you sound way too defensive. Remember,

>we're talking about an escort here, not your love child.

>Has anyone else tried asking Denise when Ben will return? If

>so, any different reaction.

Pierce NYC,

I am sorry about my reply to you two days ago and apologize.

Actually, this whole Neo-Ben drama brought back strongly to me an incident 19 years ago (two jobs back) in which I was assaulted on the job by an employee I had to fired earlier that day (I learned a lesson-never fire anyone at lunchtime). My employer didn't handle it very well. I thought I had forgotten about it but obviously a thing like that stays with you.

John, apology accepted.

Personally, I think your messages about Ben Versace are doing him more harm than good. You come across sounding obsessed with this dancer. I'm sure you're a really nice guy, but you sound lonely and possesive. You appear to be trying to fill a void in your life by thinking that an escort can be your best friend. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but that's the way I see it.
