In the spirit of the Iditerod race there is going to be a convergence of Hooovillians(plus friends and camp followers) in La Belle Province de Montreal this coming week/weekend.

I propose we meet at one of the clubs(I nominate the Campus-but the adonis is ok also)at 6 pm EST on Friday 3/11 to raise a glass to Hooboy.

Dennis the waiter knows me well-as the bigguyfrom california-so search me out or leave word were y'all are seated.

And baby-it's gonna be cold outside!

Was just in Montreal this past weekend with someone familiar to those going this weekend, he had quite the boy following at Taboo and Adonis - but being so cute who wouldn't, didn't know I picked the wrong weekend to go to meet more of you! Did meet Firecat though - hey FC.

How I wish I could be there with all you guys.

 

I am jealous for several reasons: first of all, the

beautiful Montreal scene, regardless of the weather - AND THE BOYS - with them, you'll never be cold.

 

secondly, I will miss meeting all the hoovillians who will come together. I can just imagine how fun it must be to be a "tour de force" ... together, all vying for the boys' attention!

 

...and, finally, missing the chance to raise a glass to hooboy with each of you....

Well I am back from Montreal.We had a couple of snow days and a couple of gourgeous-very cold but clear-days.I am glad I brought all my gear.It was a little embarassing when my roll aboard popped open coming down the escalator at lax-ah one last memory of a horrid couple of NWA flights.

I was playing tourguide to a good friend and so we did spend a lot of time out of doors as expected-and I did take a spill on an icey sidewalk(did not have my YAKTRAX on-those things work great!)but only one and no small children or bike messangers were crushed by my fall!

Montreal is a very different city in winter.First of all it is sooooo much less crowded-no waits for anything including space in the back of Campus/Adonis.

It was a joy to meet(albeit briefly)Marc Anthony,Tampa Yankee,MtlLover,KYTop(who was very busy being charming to assorted beauties including Bobby Thompson)Trey

Thurston,and the Montrealer who needs a handle!

All are charming guys whose spirits were not dampned by the cold,the flight delays=and KY,I avoid ORD at all cost but NWA was AFU out of LAX and DTW so it was not just AA-and sundry headaches.

The club scene was slow,but there was plenty of talent.It was great to meet Antoine the server at Campus-he is very impressed by our group and was a wonderful advisor too some of the goings on.

Ryan,Brad,Chris,Sylvester all provided great times in the back as well as good company at the table.

A toast was raise to hooboys memory.

I did notice a few of the nightime guys in the Campus during the in between shift,my Novice was ripped of by one of them and strongarmed into a lackluster private with another.

Ryan was a total sweetie,and he will be coming to LA soon-avery beautiful twink with a lovely smile and a real nice set of -well you know!

It was also great To meet Norman the new Manager at L'Adonis.He is a great host and has a great job with the staff at the club-Norman if you read this please get a better air handling system,I would spend a lot more time there if the smoke was not so bad.

One interesting thing happned at the Adonis.A fella we had met at campus told us to meet him later at Adonnis where he was dancing.He had also promised my friend some hot times after his shift.

Went to Adonis,he sat with us at a table,something was not right.He said he had just finished his stage show and would be up agian in an hour.I asked one of my regulars(franco)after a private about this guy.Franco said the fella did not dance there at all!He was quickly shown the door by Franco,another dance,and the doorman.

Taboo was as disapointing to me as ever.Nice to see Firecat again.

StockBar was slow but there was some fun to be had.

All in all a very nice trip up north.

Agree with your assessment of the clubs. Taboo, though historically my favorite, was not up to par this trip. That being said, I was obsessed with Helmuth, so I spent LOTS of time there.

 

And it was worth every minute!!!

Had a great time this past weekend in Montreal, meeting some wonderful Montreal-loving friends. What nice people you all are and incredibly easy to talk with. Arrived on Thursday evening, received a dinner invitation from Newatthis (who I met last year in Montreal) and joined him and Marc Anthony, Firecat, Tampa Yankee, Trey Thurston (adorable) and some other fine-looking men :9 at a restauant on St. Catherine. I tailed everyone to Adonis where the party continued. Had not been in Adonis for more than a year and noticed a big improvement in atmosphere and energy from past visits. Enjoyed a couple privates with Ralph and Pierre (the definition of cute) and called it a day just after midnight.

 

After a day of dodging the cold and spending money, I went to Campus at just after 5pm where I joined Tampa Yankee, Marc Anthony, Trey and met Bigguyinpasadena and KY Top. I've never been to Campus before 10pm and so it did feel a bit strange entering that world so early in the day. Met the MC favorite, Phil, for the first time and had a wonderful private dance and learned up close why he is such a favorite of the guys here. Asked Tampa Yankee what time he was planning to leave and he told me 6:30pm, so I looked my watch, figured I had enough time to do one more private dance with Steph. Once I emerged 10 songs later, I found no one from the group still there and I checked my watch realizing it was now 7:05pm, an hour later than I'd thought. I ended up going back to my hotel and ordering dinner in. I had heard the group was planning a midnight Taboo meeting and I planned to get in a quick nap and join them. My head hit the pillow and I never woke up until 2:30am. (I missed going out on a Friday night in Montreal...unthinkable!) :-(

 

I had plenty of energy Saturday AM and walked blocks and blocks in the snow which was falling steadily, but not wind driven. (I don't get this stuff in Florida, so I was enjoying the sights of the city.) I was walking through one of the shopping areas and ran into a friend from the Old Stock bar (St. Andre) days. He told me he was splitting his time between Toronto and Montreal these days. He was dancing at Campus that evening and was heading to the gym. We made plans to meet for dinner in the village and I went back to my hotel where I got a massage from a guy who advertises in Fugues. This gentleman, I learned during the massage, works out at the same gym as a couple of Adonis dancers. I immediately mentioned how adorable I thought Pierre was and I got this hard press on my back and a warning to, "stay away from Pierre, he's mine." (Apparently, he's part of the Pierre fan club as well.)

Went to dinner with my friend at a restaurant just off St. Catherine and went back to Campus and spent the rest of the evening having drinks and being escorted to the back by several guys, all with hit or miss experiences.

 

I regret not having caught up with the gang at least once more as I would loved to have gotten to know each of them better. But, from what I learned this weekend, it seems fairly likely we will get to cross paths again as we all share the LOVE OF MONTREAL and its MEN!!

Yeah, these guys are really into getting to dinner on time :-) :-). They did the same thing to me the night before. I was a little late -- ok, it wasn't so little -- emerging from some "farewell" dances with my favorite boy of this trip, and they had taken off. Luckily firecat had told me where our reservation was. (I suspect the rush was because Marc A had Helmuth waiting at the restaurant. :-) )

It was great to meet you MTlover. Yes there will be many opportunites for a 'next time'. As one who understands priorities, when you failed to reappear by 6:30 I assumed that you had gotten a 'better offer'. }( I have been known to loose track of time in the back rooms too.

It was really nice finally getting to meet you even if only for few short encounters. Hopefully there will be future opportunities. It was a fantastic weekend with a great group of guys -- some new (to our group), some regulars, some locals, some older, some younger -- a great mix for energy and fun. I hope your friend enjoyed his inagural trip to MTL. Looking forward to next time.

Are you kidding? For having a boy like Helmuth on your arm (or wherever he was :-))? Absolutely!

Seriously, the combination of Trey and Helmuth, who both have very exotic good looks, was overwhelming.
