Bad news/sad news is that the Agence Bel Homme / Hot Boys Agency no longer exists. Police have charged use of underaged escorts and drugs; I do not know any further details. This appears to be permanent. It was done c. April 8; the agency ads are still in the Fugues magazine. There are six other agencies listed in Fugues, but none of them have been around for more than a couple of months, and all of them are quite small in comparison to Hot Boys. If you would like a couple of recommendations, the Tender Moments Agency (514-791-4447) provided several beautiful, cute, smooth, smiling, eager, and able twink escorts. Sebastian, Danny, and Vincent are all highly recommended and aged 20 and 21.

I was simply echoing what VaHawk was saying back in August:

"Well, Montreal is just getting more and more repressive. What a shame to kill the last great place in NA to go and have fun. Makes me want to just cancel my July 3 visit!

First the bookstore on Ste. Catherines, then Taboo, now the hustle boy scene at Bourbon. What next? Sounds like no reason to go there anymore, as they are killing all the fun scenes and the escort scene is rather blase in Montreal."

This escort agency is the latest "casualty", in my humble opinion :)

IMO "they" are not killing all the fun to be had in Montreal with all the gorgeous men around. "They" are merely checking the excesses which tend to creep in to any scene where people tend to take a "live and let live" attitude, which definitely defines Montreal's population. Right-wing Christian types get absolutely no traction here and the conservative elements of the Catholic church are hopelessly out of touch with even their own flock.

But if people think sex-tourists looking for underage boys and wide-open access to any kinds of drugs should have a "carte-blanche", well, think again. Allowing such activities is highly destructive to a society, any society. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having lots of fun with the men who are available here, I just don't go looking for the kind of trouble you MAY be suggesting.

RE: Montreal police checks

>Having been at Campus when the police recently did a surprise

>check on lap dances looking for "inappropriate touching", I've

>heard many dancers refer to them as "assholes".

I haven't read anything about this incident. Tell us more: When did this happen - date and time of day? Did they go back into the cabines? Did they announce what they were checking for? How many cops? For how long? Curious Montreal lovers want to know!

Since you live in Montreal and frequent these bars, I'm surprised you aren't aware of any of these police walk throughs. I was at Campus and Stock in mid March when the police walked in. At Stock there were 2 police woman who entered during the night time hours, looked around and went into the back rooms. As I recall, the owner said they were looking for a particular person and had showed him a picture. At Campus there were 3 or 4 police men who went immediately into the back and checked every booth. At the time my companion was in the back room and had his hand on a dancer's cock, when the dancer noticed the police he slapped his hand away so the police won't catch them. This also took place at night and didn't last more than 5 minutes. No one was questioned or seemed to be aware that this was going to take place.

The dancers seemed to be used to these activities and didn't get rattled by their presence. If you want more details, talk with the dancers. I'm sure they can tell you more.

I agree with Luv2play Montreal is still a great place to go to find hot dancers and one can have fun with them at the clubs or back at your hotel as for the cops comeing down hard on the street hustlers

on Saint Catherines street all I can say is GOOD for them (I know I am

not going to make some of you guys happy with this comment ) Its a known fact unless you beeen putting your head in the sand that 90 percent of the street hustlers are HIV Positive one can easily check this out by checking with the Center for Disease Control Yes sir Montreal is a lot better off with out them.

Newathis: You're sounding like the Montreal customs agent who questioned me at the border. :-)

On a few of my trips to Montreal, I've noticed the police do routine checks at the strip clubs. In fact, on my last trip, the police entered Stock to check that no liquor was being served. Nothing more than that.

I rarely go to Campus at nights, but two times that I was there, the police entered and checked the area where laps dances take place. I was told they were checking to see that no laws were being violated... None of the dancers seemed to get too excited about it, but perhaps the owners do.

These police checks appear to be routine and people just get used to it. I've never noticed anyone get questioned or taken outside.

It's good to be aware of these things just in case it occurs when you are there.

Just practicing for when I go over to the dark side. :-) :-)

There was a posting here 4-6 months ago about a police "raid" on Campus (I'm too lazy to go look it up). I emailed a Campus contact about it, and he replied that such checks were routine at both male and female strip clubs and were mostly done to check that no dancers were underage and that non-Canadians had working papers.

Off with their heads! But let's keep those 10% that jay approves of! We'll just ask the CDC in Atlanta how many Montreal hustlers are negative!!!

Yes sir!

How can anyone enjoy a lapdance with the possibilty of the cops busting in at any time? That's like having your parents walk in on you, but worse. That would totaly ruin the experience for me. I would want a do-over. LOL Repressive! :p

Just because someone is attracted to skinny, white, boyish, teenage twink types doesn't imply that they MAY be looking for underage boys and/or drugs. Not everyone likes 30 year old "MEN" :p

Anyone who visits Montreal for the gay strip club scene is automaticaly labeled a "Sex tourist"? LOL There's nothing unethical about visiting Taboo and getting lap dances, or hiring a hustler or escort.

Bashing conservatives and Catholics serves no purpose in this thread, in my opinion. But we're all friends :)

I still need to find people to hang out with during my stay!

>How can anyone enjoy a lapdance with the possibilty of the cops busting in at any time?

Well....I think "at any time" is a bit of an exaggeration. In 6 or 7 visits over the past 2 years, I've personally seen cops in a club exactly once, and they were searching for a specific, drugged out guy they found in the bathroom. Those who've spent more time in the clubs may have more reliable statistics.

In any case,

1. in my experience, the dancers who allow liberties are quite expert at keeping you and them safe from prying eyes, whether of the cops or of the club personnel who are there to enforce the rules;

2. you're much more likely -- 100 times more likely -- to have a less than stellar experience through bad choice of dancer than due to the cops or club personnel;

3. if you go in with a relaxed attitude, you can't help but enjoy yourself!

Repressive??? Get real, man. If you think the odd police check for drugs and underage dancers is repressive, maybe you are visiting the wrong city. Perhaps Bangkok would be more to your liking.

No, but it might. And when you cross over the 18 year old limit, you have entered the red zone. Don't be surprised if you end up under a police interrogation or worse. You won't be the first or last tourist to find out there is a limit to Montreal's famed tolerance!

Who said that? Not me. Montreal remains one of the few North American cities where these activities can be pursued in relative safety if normal prudence is exercised.

Again, who said anything like that? You seem to read into statements things that are simply not there.

I wish you good luck. :+
