Nearly Free Car Rentals in Fort Lauderdale

If you come to Fort Lauderdale to enjoy the strip clubs, you may also want to drive down to Key West for a couple of days. A friend of mine just did, and as we checked out car rentals, we found a wonderful bargain. Enterprise at its in-town locations (not at the airport) has a special rate until November 5 at least for weekends - $9.99 per day. You must keep the car a minimum of three days and you get 100 free miles per day. You pick up the car Friday morning and must return it Monday morning. Enterprise will pick you up at your hotel and take you home again at the end for no extra charge. The total for three days and 300 miles and all in town taxes was $41.00. At the airport they have higher basic rates and they must charge all the taxes mandated for the airport.

I'm renting a premium car from Hertz for $22 a day for 10 days thru priceline. I'm sure its a matter of personal preference but I'd rather pay the extra to have a better than average car...
