I visited FLL last weekend and went to the Boardwalk on both Friday and Saturday nights. For me, it remains one of the most fun strip clubs in town. It was packed both nights with no special event happening. I noticed a few really nice changes since my last visit in December. The owner created two circular platforms with poles on the "pool table side" of the bar. As a result, there are now 4 guys dancing at any given time (at least during prime time). The pool tables have been rearranged and moved to one end of the pool room; about 6 tables with stools have been added to the lounge area where one of the pool tables used to be. Both front and back staging areas have been redecorated. The cover was $10 (up from $5) but I'm not sure if this is now the new charge or just a weekend cover. The cover included any drink, even top shelf, so it actually all balances out. The other thing I noticed is the number of guys dancing...one of the dancers lamented to me that there were 42 dancers on hand Saturday night...as he said "Bad for me...good for you." Not really sure how "bad" it really was since the lap dance room had a waiting line both nights, something I have never seen before. The new dancers continue the tradition of "something for everyone" with skinny twink boys to jocked out frat types to hunky muscle men and everything in between. The old reliables are still there...among my favorites Jason, Denny, Rocco, and Nicholas (who obviously has been training really hard). I've been to the other strip bars, but I always seem to have the best time at the Boardwalk...always a fun time!:D

I was there Friday night last weekend and the Saturday night before that. I don't live far from The Boardwalk, so it's easy for me to go there whenever I want. The last two weekends have had the best selection of dancers I've ever seen there. It's funny. A dancer also complained to me that there was too much competition. You're right that there was something for everybody. The two extra dance stands between the front and back stages were added a few months ago. Actually, I sympathize with the dancers. That makes it quite a long stretch to do all four stages, which all the dancers do.

I think the admission is still $5. There were special events last Friday and Saturday nights - porn stars from Helix Studios both nights. The first show is not until midnight. The second show is at 1:30 AM. This is pretty standard. That may be why you paid $10. I always go before 9:00 PM. There is no admission on any night, and you get 2/1 on any drink. If you want, you can save a token for another night and use if before 9:00 PM.

I agree. The Boardwalk is still the best of the strip bars.

wow, things must have dramatically improved in the last 2 months. When I was there for 4 weeks in Jan-Feb the quality of the dancers was so bad it was painful/revolting to hang out there. Thank god for Eddy!

Now they just need to remodel the lapdance room so there's a little space to move around and somewhere decent to sit.

You're right. There was a period with a lot of bad nights. Some of the dancers were so out of shape they shouldn't have been dancing anywhere. That's still the case with a few of them. I guess things can change suddenly and dramatically in this industry. Right now The Boardwalk is in a very good period. Let's hope it stays that way.

The lap dance room has been and will always be a problem. It is close quarters in there, and the DJ watches to make sure nothing is going on to get the club in trouble. You just have to tune out what's going on around you and focus on your dancer. Some dancers will take a bit more risk than others in what they allow customers to do. I'm referring to what you touch and what you see. That's all. It rather difficult to do much more in there.

The Boardwalk like many Florida bars and clubs varies depending on the season. During peak season(Mar. and Apr.) the crowds are better the dancers are better because there is more money to be made. If you go back in July or August it'll be much less festive.

True but February is as much peak season as March or April

Agreed, LG

The pickins in Jan/Feb were slim indeed. There was a hot dancer there named Gabriel. Very nice body and very nice lap dance. The lap dance area is really too small. It used to be a little bigger. You can kill yourself in there tripping over other people's feet! That is where the dancers make most of their money so I am kind of surprised that the dancers have not been more vocal about that. It is good to hear about the increase in the quality/quantity of dancers. 43 dancers on one night would make it hard to make it on tips alone. No pun intended.
