What happend to Austin and Ben Versace- two of the best dancers in the history of the Gaiety ? Two completely different types and personalities on stage. Off stage both were very pleasant and extremely sexy!

Does anyone know if they still are escorting ? Contact info ? Would like to meet them again.

Now, as far as Ben goes, there are a few people around here that know the 411 on him. However, their lips are sealed tighter than the convent doors on prom night.

 

I am sending you something a little "special" on Austin via private message so check your in-box. I am not posting it in public but I do want people to know that the VDN database is still very active and updates quite frequently. This is despite the fact that the Gaiety is closed. Someday, like the Phoenix (or Anna Nicole Smith) it will rise from the ashes.

RENDIE! Always a pleasure! Since I have been assimilated like a Borg at work I don't have the energy to enjoy my former pastimes as much. Now that things will be getting easier at work, and all of my favorite TV shows have had their season finales, or have come to an end altogether, I can once again e-romp!

I thought we worked on him well the last time and then he clammed up again! I will have to call my Uncle Knuckles. ;)

In coming back after several months and viewing this site last week, I saw this thread and finally I couldn't resist posting replies.

 

Crazy4U,

I don't know about Austin. I think VDN sent you info privately.

 

As far as Ben Versace is concerned, I agree with you that he is one of the best and hottest dancers in the history of the Gaiety and MadrigalsClub, among several other male strip clubs.

 

Ben Versace does not strip (even in NC) or escort anymore. He is doing modeling and some acting. I can't give you contact info, though April 9th, he was seen at Club20 along with his biggest fan. I believe that Rendie and Cooper were also there at that time.

Ya'll almost wore me down about sending you pics of one hot, sexy former Gaiety dancer from my extensive CD and photo collection. Now, I have tightened up again!

Gaiety Theatre Closing- All Those Dancers

 

Gaiety Player: #13641, "THE GAIETY(19?? -- 2005) – ONE YEAR LATER"

 

One year ago today, March 17, 2006, we lost something very precious in NY gay culture. One day, a typical Thursday, St. Patrick’s Day, was the last day of the many days that people like Hooboy, Cooper, NYObserver, and Foxy have encounter on a weekly, if not, daily basis. That place is 201 W 46th St., 2nd Floor, better know to us as… the Gaiety Theater.

 

I, myself had only frequented this institution since October 2001, but from the moment I stepped into this place, I was addicted from that first dancer I ever saw on the stage(Ronnie Lacour) to the hottest untamed flesh of Ben Versace (then just Ben) to the famous Grand Finales(11-15 hot twinks, jocks, and muscle gods… oh my!).

 

There were days when anything went at the G. And there were days you could fantasize about what was underneath those tight dancer’s pants.

 

Here’s just an example of what I saw at the G:

 

1. Hot, tight, and seXXXy Ben Versace

2. Tall and ripped Tyler(now 20 Club’s Rob)

3. Spiky blond former Canadian Stockbar dancer Nicholas

4. Brooklyn boi jock Michael

5. Short and big muscled Trevor

6. Model wannabe Austin

7. Denise’s “man-b****” Neo

8. Perfect Texan and jailbait Mark Dalton

9. Porn hottie/Madrigal’s dancer Jason Adonis

10. Latin tanned and tattoed 10” exhibitionist Giosolo aka Giovanni

11. Hot Black Export Marlone

 

And that’s all I can think of right now.

 

But I’ve only seen three and a half of over 30 years of hot, ripped, toned, sexual fantasies. Imagine if all the dancers who ever graced the stage were in one humongous grand finale. There would be too many to count. We will miss the G. We will never forget it.

 

To the G. See you later.

 

And if he’s reading this from above… a message to Hooboy, if there is a Gaiety up there, keep it warm until we all get there.

 

Thank you, Denise, Ben Versace, Tyler, Cooper, NYObserver, Hooboy, all the dancers, the managements at Stockbar, Campus, Taboo, Remington’s, Madrigal’s, Nob Hill, Boardwalk, Cupids, Splash who all provide the dancers from there, the hot adult film stars, the wannabes, that one security guard and the DJs who made it what the G is, for what it was, and what will always be… a piece of NYC History.

I was reading the threads on this site over the last four months and read your post above. It brought back memories. I forgot that it was in March'05 that the Gaiety closed. Seems longer. Anyway, I chuckled over our similar reactions to seeing Ben Versace perform on the stage for the first time- you had good tastes in Gaiety dancers. Anyway I copied your entire post for this thread. That your post was really a great summary of the whole experience.
