It's actually been very bad news for us escorts listed here in NYC. The site has been continually spamming us for the last few weeks, trying to solicit entertainers or advertisers. Not a very good way to introduce oneself to the community, in my opinion.

Kevin, To those of us who frequent strip clubs that's great news. Knowing that the promoters at Magnum are reaching out to as many escorts/dancers as possible shows that they are really trying hard to bring in top quality guys.

 

If sending you span bothers you, why don't you tell them to remove your name from their mailing list?

 

Has anyone heard any more about this club? Where it's located and when it will be opening?

From the spam mail I got from them, "all male Cabaret featuring a "CHIPPENDALE STYLE" SHOW STYLE", "currently being built in NYC and we are in our temporary home that holds 150 guests in the TIMES SQUARE AREA just until the construction is complete in 8 weeks were told", "We will feature a very special NUDE LAP DANCE ROOM", "Our house fee is $ 100.00 for entry"

 

It seems this is going to be a real high end place, just the entry fee is 100 dollars, and I am not sure how much the lap dance is gonna cost.

I would think that when they say "our house fee is $100 for entry" they are talking about the "house fee" that the dancers have to pay - similar to the way Club 20 works - the dancers pay a variety of fees in order to be able to dance at the club and make tips.

 

I would highly doubt that the $100 is a door fee for patrons.

Hmmmmm I'm not so sure about that - nothing would surprise me. They could be hoping that if the tallent is good enough and exclusive to the NY bar scene, well healed clients might just be willing to fork out the bucks for a 1st class scene - they would probably throw in a couple of drinks as well.

Thanks Jay for posting this information on the opening of Magnum54.

 

The location is great especially if you travel into NYC through Penn Station. It's an easy walk.

 

As I read the message I noticed no mention of costs for: admission, lap dances, private room, drinks, etc... I hope that information is made available before opening night... Also, it sounds very "upscale" I hope that doesn't mean a dress code.

 

Good to hear that another male strip club is opening in NYC, however, it is going to compete with the 20 Club, same night, same hours, and same patrons. Too bad, it would be nice if it were another night.

Wow, when it comes to this thread, it brings to mind an old saying that goes something along the lines of 'Something that sounds too good to be true"... and it certainly applies here.

 

This Magnum54 organization has absolutely NO history. Their email address isn't even a year old. The web site was just registered on 4/8/08.

 

The posters in this group, from my getting to know them in person, are a savvy bunch, nationally placed, and very sharing when it comes to information regarding venues around the country.

 

Los Angeles?! Where? Miami?! Where? Who? How? There's no web presence that backs this up. Seeing, I guess, will have to be believing.

 

Just so that you know, that location is the HK (Hell's Kitchen) Club where they hold the Tranny Tuesdayz parties. It is not a strip club, and if nudity and alcohol are combined, you best bet that a NYC Police raid is close at hand, especially if they are competing with the good old boys that own the 20 club on the same night. Maybe anyone attending the Magnum party should bring a portable fire extinguisher with them and keep it close at hand all night!

want to thank Taz & apoligize for maybe being rude in the past...thanks for bringing this club to everybodys attention...

 

I worked at the 20 Club until not too long ago...

everybody here knows I hated managment and had to quit

 

One night while there I stumbled upon a really hot guy, we spoke and YES he was the GM of what is now known as the Magnum 54 Club NYC

 

The company is located in California and is in the biz of hosting loft events thru-out the West Coast and Miami, Phili real soon!

 

Buff Boy did not do his home work because the club is a MEMBERS ONLY CLUB...the appeal to the very wealthy discret client who does NOT want to go to the local club...they want more customer service with a smile, not someone who is gonna rip them off. It Does Not Advertise It Is Strictly Word Of Mouth...

 

The Magnum 54 Club (NAME CHOSEN FOR NYC)Because of it's sharpness and refrence to 54 a once plush beautiful club promices to be all that.

 

They currently have an amazing 5000+ Square ft loft space being constructed now and are weeks away from the opening...but because of NYC laws etc...delayed in legal paperwork...they were trying to open sooner so the decision was made to open in another temp spot.

 

The location at 39th street is off 9th ave near times square...The spot BUFF BOY speaks of in his NON RESEARCHED POST is located at 39th street BUT btw 5th & 6th ave...Thats where the tranny club is/was...it too was an old strip club in the 90's

 

MAGNUM 54 is in a rented event space until construction is completed on the loft. These words straight from the GM's mouth

 

I'm currently employed with the company doing behind the scenes work and have the inside info on whats gonna happen.

 

The liquer license will NEVER come BECAUSE THE CLIENTS DON'T WANT IT!!!(AGAIN BUFF BOY DON'T COMMENT TILL YOU KNOW THE FACTS!) they will have an amazing tropical juice energy drink & beverage bar. Very nice private suites and lap dance room. The club will be secured by NYPD off duty detective's...so you will feel completely safe & secure. NO DRUNKEN PEOPLE HERE THROWING BAR STOOLS!!!

 

They currently have a web site being made and have just a greeting page. Like the LA spot once they find their client base the web site will prob come down and the place will be one for members only...

 

from what Ive heard they don't want thousands of people but instead a select group of the right ones.

 

again don't want to come off harsh BUT this stuff has got to stop and maybe people should think before they post. The Magnum 54 Club could be that club that everybody here in new york has been asking for...that being said...WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING IT BEFORE IT OPENS???

 

GIVE IT A CHANCE & KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS & OPINIONS TO YOURSELF...

The First 4 weeks Free Membership/$20 0ff Room Disc.

 

A Lap will cost $20...Pvt Rooms $50-160.. I'm guessing depending on what goes on Privately?.

 

Drinks $6-Up
