You have any recommendations for clubs, dance bars to start our evening off right?

If you mean places for you guys to dance then there are many. Chicago has roughly 50 gay bars and probably a third of them are fun for dancing at least some days of the week. Additionally there are a bunch of gay friendly bars that can be very fun.

 

What night of the week are you going out?

 

In the meantime since today is Monday I'll mention one of my favorite dance spots. The BoomBoomRoom Monday nights at the Green Dolphin. Not normally a gay bar but Monday night is pretty gay complete with gogo boys. Maybe better described as poly-sexual. I dig that is is mixed: black, white, latino, gay, straight, male, female, all ages (over 21). Elegantly dressed folks, casual, butch, muscle, drag queens, suits, ties, costumes. Every style and sexual orientation seems welcome.

Several hundred people shaking it up in 3 rooms and a riverside garden till 4am. At the corner of Ashland and Webster avenues along the river it is in an industrial area bit off the beaten path. But being 2 or 3 miles from either downtown or Boystown it is a simple and cheap cab ride. The nearest 'L' station with good 24 hour service would be Fullerton ave on the redline which is one mile away.
