Hey guys!

Used to love going to Key West on Juniper Street in Philly for the Friday night dancers. Fun to stuff g-strings with dollar bills, and chat up the guys. Some would give you lap dances right on your bar stool!

I've heard two rumors about the bar recently: (1) that's its closed outright, and (2) that it's new a "private membership: club.

Anyone know the scoop? And if it's a "private membership" club, what does that mean? Is it still gay? Do they still have strippers? Would love to know....anyone, please....

Was Open Sunday

Hey Dawg

I drove by on Sunday afternoon - Cut down Juniper to get out of Walnut St traffic.

Door was open - people smoking outside - going in and out.

But after your message - I called the PH# and it is disconnected.

]I haven't been in there in ages - It had gotten a little to Ghetto on weekends.

Problem is not the color, its the class - or lack there of - Lots of DL Thugs

Lots of Tweak'd T-Girls - Lots and Lots of DRUGs - Lots of DL-PapiThugs as well

The Strippers were still Hot - White/Hisp/Black - all cool

Key West is Gone!

Hey Guys

I was in the Gayborhood on Sunday - So I took a walk over to Key West.

Closed up tight - Curtains drawn at what normally would have been a

Sunday afternoon of sports at the bar.

Dont be surprised if the Bldg/Lic Owner Mel - Reopens the place with new

managment - He has rescued clubs in the past - He also owns the womens bar

on the other side of the Key West Bldg. - Sisters -

And Now for the Rest of the Story!

Hey Guys talked to a friend of mine this week who is very connected in the Bar Community.

It seems that the last major storm of the winter caused a great deal of damage to the club.

Many bldgs in Philly have Flat Roofs - Supposedly the roof drain on Key West was clogged.

THe combined weight of a substantial snow fall - followed by a major rain storm that froze

on the non-draining roof collapsed the 3rd floor Roof taking the piano bar - crashing thru

the 2nd floor ceiling - and damaging the sports bar as well.
