I was in SF on business and, as usual, paid a visit to Nob Hill Theater. It hasn't changed at all since my last visit about a year ago. It's still a very clean, smoke-free environment where you get a wide variety of totally nude dancers.

Many of the guys put on a great show and are very personable. I really like the format of a 15 minute stage show, 15 minutes audience interaction, and 15 minutes watching them shower. The guys are not shy about getting up close and personal with you during the audience lap dances.

I personally wasn't excited by some of the guys. Too many tattoos and body piercings for my conservative taste. And, what's with the total shaving of pubic hair?!? Are you trying to make me feel like a pedophile? However, the diversity probably makes Nob Hill a place for a variety of patrons. I'd just prefer guys that are more "natural" and not artificially augmented.

On the negative side, the Nob Hill choice of porno movies in between dancers SUCKS!! The theater lights make it very difficult to see the screen and they're still using videos that are several years old. Come on guys, get into this decade and start showing videos that are less than 10 years old. In addition, mix up the kind of videos - there is more available than leather and "specialty" stuff. Some of us like "vanilla" and twinks. (In fact, the videos in the back room are much better than the stuff they show on the main screen.)

Also, someone needs to have a serious talk with some of the dancers. It was a real turn off to see one of the guys bring a porno mag onto the stage and flip through the pages as he cuffed the carrot and appeared totally disconnected with the audience. I realize that multiple shows per day can be boring. But it's very insulting to bring "props" on to the stage to get yourself up. Use the little blue pill or even a cock ring. Just don't insult me by focusing on a fag rag while I'm less than 10 feet away from you.

I was also turned off (almost offended) by the rude comments of some dancers. Apparently the $30 cover charge charged by Nob Hill is NOT shared with the dancers. They work only for tips and don't even receive minimum wage. Personally, I think this is a bad management decision since some of the dancers "inspect" their tips during the lap dance and openly ridicule patrons if they feel the tip is too small.

After paying a $30 cover charge, I'm not about about to tip a dancer $10 or $20 for a 2-minute lap dance (especially if I'm not attracted to them). I always give the dancer a "token" tip. But, after they make snide comments about my tip, there's no way in hell I'm going to hire them for a "private" on-site session.

So, here's the bottom line. I'll probably still pay the $30 cover charge at Nob Hill since totally nude dancers aren't available in my home state. It's a "service" I can't find in a lot places. So, the novelty is worth the OCCASSIONAL visits I make to SF (every 12-18 months). But, is Nob Hill really developing a long-term client base for more frequent visitors?

OneFinger, your experience is almost exactly the same that I had the last time I was at the Nob, several months ago. I have been there many times, whenever I am in town. It is truly hit and miss for the quality of dancer. I get the sense that management will pretty much stick anyone up on stage and that they have difficulty recruiting. I have had a couple of excellent adventures at the Nob which is the reason I continue to go back, but I have to admit that the excellent adventures are getting fewer and farther between.

On a side note, I agree with you about pubic hair shaving. I am all for trimming, but can not understand shaving. Are there guys that still believe their 5 inch dick will appear to be 10 inches if they shave their pubic hair?

Suggestion: Give management a ring, but better yet get a group of guys together and do letter writing to management of this venue expressing your disappointments as well as making some salient suggestions.

I've not been to the NHT for almost six or seven years, as when I went-- it was definitely NOT what it was a decade ago, a time when this place was indeed jumping and quite interesting!
