I am embarking on an incredible adventure. I will be very strongly involved in the running of the theater I have worked for for 5 plus years. (I had written that far the first time when I accidently hit something with my thumb and suddenly the form went all blank on me. Hope I'm not posting this much twice!) Basically I will be the Associate Artistic Director, doing a lot of the playwrighting, directing, maintaining my share of the acting, etc., etc. We tour schools, libraries, etc. presenting plays aimed at kindergarten through fifth grade children, performed by paid adults. The theater is an established player in this market, but for various reasons is basically having to start from what feels to us like scratch, though it isn't really. One thing that I need to help find fairly quickly is a responsible, active Board of Directors. Their first major jobe, IMHO, would be to start raising the rent from non-performance funds. Right now the rent is free, but that goes up to $2,000 per month in October. If anyone here (both in terms of these threads and in terms of in Houston) would be interested in joining me in this adventure, please contact me by private post. As for the rest of you, your well wishes and prayers will be apreciated.

I wish I was in a position to help! I think it's wonderful!

And it's odd -- you're like the third or fourth guy I know who is involved in theater/arts for children who also escorts for men.

Is is a trend? ;-) Is it just the gay "creative gene" kicking in?

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for all the encouragement, guys!

As far as the procreative urge, I may have already mentioned that I fully support gay adoption becoming legal so long as it doesn't become mandatory. I love the kids, but I also love sending them back to their parents and regular teachers.

And have I mentioned that the Cub and I may have attracted our first "son". He's twenty seven, thank goodness, but maybe we can teach him a few things.
