So I have returned from my self-imposed exile since last summer, and I am sure I have missed alot of important events. I will try to sort through the posts this week to find out the happenings. Anyone care to give me the cliff notes version of Hooville drama since last June? hahahahaha!

I actually had a nasty little health scare lasting 3 months that alerted me to my mortality, but I am all better now and ready to enjoy 2010 in our little playground. I am actually planning to attend the Hooville Palm Springs weekend in March. Do any of you knowledgeable fellas have recommendations for hotels and eateries? I don't go for fancy stuff, and I dont care for atmosphere. In hotels, I like a clean sleep and shower station. In restaurants, I just love good ole food. What is the story with casinos or other local attractions? I plan to arrive on Thursday, March 25 and depart Monday, March 29. So who else is confirmed? I am looking forward to meeting my fellow countrymen.

I am not sure if I am hiring for the weekend or not; for me, the focus will be enjoying the characters of Hooville that I have long admired from afar. I may do a little hiring in LA or Vegas before or after the event. I thought about having a roomie; that would be cool. If anyone is interested, let me know. We can work something out. I'm counting on Oliver to show me the ropes. He better still be hanging around here!

Good to be back......

Jawja, you didn't miss a whole lot and it was better that you focused on restoring your health. From my experience, brushes with mortality actually improve your appreciation of things generally, assuming of course that you recover! You may find that the things you once ignored or dismissed lightly now seem more worthwhile of your attention. As the expression goes, you may find it pleasurable to stop and smell the roses.

I didn't realize you hailed from Savannah. That is such a beautiful city and you are lucky to live there. I derive a great deal of pleasure walking around historic areas that contain such wonderful architecture and landscaping and your city has it in spades!

Welcome back!

The Shilo Inn on North Palm Canyon Drive is a good choice. Telephone number (760) 320-7676. The price is reasonable for Palm Springs during the season ($145 per night all inclusive). I reserved my room there through Expedia. It is within easy driving distance (5+ minutes) from the downtown Palm Springs restaurant where the group has dinner and the theatre. It is also about a 5 or 10 minutes drive to Oliver's,

Thanks guys for the warm welcome back, helpful tips, etc to make the trip a success. I am thinking about adding a companion, but who should I do? :)

I don't have a "who-to-do" list like I have had in the past. Anyone have any recommendations to share? Who is enjoyable for an extended appointment, overnight or weekend? I like'm passionate and versatile, oh and nice conversation and sense of humor is a must. This could be fun. I have 10 weeks to make this happen. Y'all help me out!

The advantage with Andrew D and Kristian is that they are both local and you wouldn't have to fly them in.

I can, based on personal experience, definitely recommend A.J. He is also local here in Orange County. For some reason his name doesn't appear under Southern California, Orange County reviews. He was, however, Daddy's coverboy on 12/19 and you can locate his reviews there. If he is your type he is hotter than hell and also one heck of a nice guy.

There was a time, I believe, when Rod didn't do overnights so if that is what you are considering you would need to check with him regarding that.

Helios Resort

Today I had occasion to go to the Helios Men's resort to give Las Vegas escort Ace his ticket to the Palm Springs Theater Night. Ace is a guest there, and he gave me the tour.

Living in Palm Springs, I rarely have occasion to go to these resorts, but I had heard that Helios has a high sexual energy, primarily, I thought, from their parties. So I was somewhat surprised to find a nice resort, with 12 rooms off of the swimming pool. Each room had a terrace in front, a large bed, microwave and refrigerator.

Ace then showed me the indoor and outdoor sling rooms, and the group sex room. So it might make a nice place for you to stay while here, excepting that you might not want to leave your room! The resort also has the advantage of allowing you to pack light, as clothing is optional!

I booked my flights today. YAY! Prices were fluctuating, up and down and up and down. I caught it down and booked Atlanta into Palm Springs, so no driving for me. Not too bad a price actually, round trip for 230. I will be in town for 5 days. What in the world am I gonna do with all that free time? hehehehe!

Two days later, I haven't heard from the escort that I have made an inquiry about accompanying me for the weekend. That would be a bummer if he doesn't respond in a timely manner. :(

$230 RT from Atlanta is a very good fare. I am flying to NYC tomorrow from Palm Springs, and also got the $230 fare. We change planes in Denver. Had I just booked a flight to Denver, the fare would have doubled.

Right now it is high season in Palm Springs, so many destinations are much higher than usual.
