Twist in South Beach

My favorite place, the Bungalow Bar, Twist, SoBe, 11th and Washington. Bar in the middle with seats all around it. 8 or 10 strippers. They do a little dance in bikinis, then mill around the bar for touchy and feely and, they hope lap dances. Really attractive guys from South America. A week ago, 4 guys from Milan, Italy, one, Sicily, also, Argentina, Venezuala, Cuba. One of may all time favorite places.

The great thing about SoBe is that you can stay at most any hotel, walk to Twist, the beach, many good restaurants and bars. No need for a car. No driving after drinking. The Bel Aire at 11th and Washington probably the best bargain in So Be.

It is too some extent becoming a hustlers bar. I was approached by three guys, including a gorgeous guy from Sicily. I think all the strippers escort, but mostly straight and don't get off work until 4pm.

I wasn't too impressed with this place. I liked the club overall... it's very cool. There are tons of different rooms with different vibes. But the strip club is probably (ironically) where I spent the least time. May be just a taste thing - I don't really go for the overly buff'd type.

Since I don't get to these places that often, I really enjoyed myself at Twist. Spent all my time in the Bungalow Bar. Spent all the money i had with me too. Some of the international guys are really pushy about giving lap dances. (I just can't say no). I really like Aldo from Italy. Would love to go back here.

Thanks for the update. Twist has always been one of my favorite SOBE clubs. I will be in SOBE next month for a few days and will definitely plan on a visit.

I really liked Aldo as well geoffk. And his friend from Milan, Alex, taller with blond highlights, was special as well. Aldo is returning this month to return to school. Alex is returning but will come back to Miami this spring. Both were fun and affectionate. I assumed that they are straight like most of the Bungalow boys, but thinking back, I am not so sure. They were pretty touchy feely for straight guys.

Do they have strippers every night, or just certain nights of the week? I will be in SoBe for a week and would like to check it out

I think it is every night. You can go to their website. Google Twist south beach. The bar opens 10pm most nights, earlier Fri. The boys come on 10:30 or so.

A few years ago it was only Friday nites with strippers but that may have changed. I agree that some dancers escort on the side and you can arrange privates while you are feeling up their privates! I never took one up on their offer as they get off so late 4AM! not PM and there are lots of escorts in SOBE who are reasonably priced. The winter is high season so quite a few escorts come down from New York and elsewhere seeking sun and business.

 

I agree you don't want a car in SOBE, there is no parking except at major hotels. Everything is close at hand but you will not be able to see other attractions further away unless you rent a car for the day. Escorts from Ft Lauderdale will come down to SOBE generally if you make it worth their while (2 hours or more). It's a 45 minute drive or more depending on traffic.

Hey Merlin2, yes Aldo said he was going back home for a while, but he said he would be back in SOBE in the spring too. Yeah my gardar isnt the best but those two guys from Italy and some of the other "foreign" guys were very friendly. (for tips of course). I would guess that most were at least bi.
