Research the phone number on the first one and you get a guy who used to advertise in the Blade and Rentboy. In the Blade he used a fake pic and in this craiglist ad I am pretty sure he is using a fake pic. His real pics show different tattoes and not nearly as hot as the other pics. I have seen the full pic he is using on the craigslist ad with the face showing and think it is an AAG guy. I would be very careful with him. Second choice I have no info on.

yeah, the first guy is definitely a fake...or using a fake pic anyway. that pic is used all over CL.

 

Lots of fakes on Craigslist for some reason. I don't really understand why they bother...

As a DC local I have to agree the pic with the guy holding the football has been around and used for a long time. Last summer on a trip to Chicago I saw it on the Craigslist Chicago site, and then checking the DC Craigslist site I saw the ad also running. The text, phone number and description of both ads were different, so I can only assume a lot of guys using that picture.

 

As regards to the second ad of a very cute Spanish guy, I have noticed starting in January Craigslist in DC has been flooded with ads of pictures of very cute/hot Spanish guys. If you keep track of each picture and ad, after a few weeks you will notice glaring discrepancies.

The text and phone numbers will change over time, for example one week a cute picture will have ad text saying he is new in town, then the ad may vanish and then pop up again weeks later with a different name, phone number and different text. In one ad the escort could be hosting at a downtown hotel, in the next ad he could be advertising incalls in Laurel and be a different age with different stats than the previous ad.

 

There seems to be a core group of 15-20 hot pictures that are being used on a interchangeable basis. I sometimes wonder if there isn't some Latin gang or agency behind all this.

 

Now it's possible that some of these escorts and pictures are for real as I haven't kept track of every ad and picture and noted every change, but I have noticed enough discrepancies to make very extremely cautious of any Spanish/Latino ad on Craigslist and even Rentboy for that matter.

 

When all these hot ads and pictures started popping up in January I contacted one of them as at that early stage I had no idea that a lot of these pictures were being used on a interchangeable basis. The person I spoke to on the phone sounded older than the 22 years old given in the ad, and his English was rather poor. However after about 10 minutes of talking I finally got him to understand exactly what I wanted to do and he agreed to it.

 

When I arrived at his studio in Adams Morgan, the lights were dimmed to the point I could hardly make out any of his facial features, and he was wearing a baseball cap to boot. When I tried to confirm with him what was agreed to on the phone, he said he didn't know what I was talking about as I must have got him confused with another escort as all he did was to let others service him. Even in the dim light I could see he didn't look at all like the picture in the ad, and his voice sounded different from the person I had spoken to on the phone.

 

I told him under the circumstances I didn't want to proceed and turned around and left, with him cursing at me in Spanish. So my advice to anyone considering trying one of these Spanish guys, proceed very carefully and verify things along the way. I would advise to set up the initial meeting in a public place with bright lights or outdoors somewhere versus a dimly lit apartment. Also reconfirm everything that was agreed to on the phone or in email. If meeting him in a hotel, do it in the lobby versus in the hotel room where it's far more difficult to get yourself out of a bad situation.

I had a similar sort of experience. I met with a guy who claimed to be in town for a short time in the ad. The picture was a super hot guy with big pecs standing on a beach somewhere. We made arrangements for "him" to come to me. The guy who showed up looked nothing at all like the picture. He gave me a poor massage and was out the door in less than 30 minutes.

 

There is definitely something weird with all of those Latino ads. But they are definitely the majority of ads on the DC page. I have been tempted also by the guy who claims to be an "ex Italian pro soccer player". Not sure how some one becomes an ex-Italian. :-) I am always dubious of these sorts of claims. Picture is headless but body looks good...

 

DC really sucks these days when it comes to escorts/masseurs...at least the kind of guys I like just don't seem to be working here.

One thing that makes me a little leery about these ads is the age of the masseur. I mean c'mon "experienced masseur..HOT and 21 years old." PLEASE! When did he start massage..at 14, 15? I am not trying to paint all the youngsters with a broad brush, but experience comes with time. Some of these hot-young-masseurs just scream "fake."

I never trust any of the ads from Craig's list for all of the reasons mentioned earlier in this thread. Look for reviews on this site and go from there.

Agree with BearDad58. There was a flourish or Latino ads that started earlier in the year. All young, experienced masseurs and new in town. Sometimes the names changed but the phone numbers stayed the same. Sometimes a new number. All ads seem to be written in the same manner...and have the same non-commital location (like D.M.V...which stands for DC, Maryland and Virginia). Ads also seem to be posted within a short period of each other. Several ads with different guys posted every day.

 

This has actually been going on for quite a while. They just amped it up a bit this year. I fell for this a couple years ago. I went to see David (one of the more common names used) at an incall location in Laurel (it's near Rt 198 & Van Dusen...just off I95). Single family house. Quite neighborhood. I knocked on the front door. No answer. Called the number and got an answer. Suddenly David appeared from the side of the house. The weather was very nice that day but for some reason he had on a huge furry hat (including ear flaps) that obscured most of his face. From what I could see, he didn't look like the same guy in the ad. However he did look cute and acceptable. He tried to lead me into a basement side door. It was completely dark and I couldn't see a thing. I told him I would not come in until he turned on some lights. He could barely speak English. This was obviously not the guy I had talked to on the phone. I quickly left.

 

My belief is that this is an agency that fronts for a group of young Latinos. They probably rotate them through a few close by cities. Steer clear.

Yeah, CL has been for a while hard to find a descent masseur. I almost never ever trust that site unless I can find the guy on one or more reliable sites.

Try and check with the Big three site like Daddysreview, MassageM4M, and Massuerfinder by phone number. If not there, sometime guys will show up on Escort sites like Rent Boy, etc.

 

So far the community here is really good at giving feedback and tagging those guys who give less than a fair service.

Like Niceandthick I too answered one of those Spanish ads last summer advertising a incall location in Laurel. I don't remember what street it was on, but I assume it was the same house Niceandthick went to. I knocked for several minutes but no one answered the door. Someone kept peeking out from behind the curtains but since they didn't answer the door I felt very uneasy and left.

 

I too believe this is a group that fronts for young Latinos and the rotating pictures they use are just bait and have no resemblance to the actual person that shows up. The kid may be cute or not cute or anything in between, and probably has no idea of what you told the person working the phones what you like to do - and he may barely be able to speak English. I would hate to think that every Latino ad on Craigslist is a con, but as always double check Daddysreviews, Rentboy and other reliable sites before hiring.
