Big Party Thur Aug 19 @ Adonis Lounge- Dancer Lineup w/ Pics

This Thursday will mark the first ever "Make It Rain" party at the Adonis Lounge. This will be a monthly event we will do moving forward, co-promoted by Mark E, a local Brooklynite who had his birthday party here recently. We are expecting a large turnout of 100+ as the night wears on. For those Adonis regulars who aren't into the big party scene, the crowd shouldnt get large until after 11 or so. The show will begin @9 promptly for those who wish to attend but avoid the crowd.

 

To the lineup: the Brazilian trifecta- Alexander, Gustavo, Marcelo, Jersey boys- Landon, & Alex, Shawn from Philly, Spanish Jonny, Adonis favorites Dirty Jersey, Rocco, and back from his vacation in Russia, the always popular Nikoli; and finally...Brooklyn will be back in Brooklyn!

Aftermath on Make it Rain

 

This Thursday will mark the first ever "Make It Rain" party at the Adonis Lounge. This will be a monthly event we will do moving forward, co-promoted by Mark E, a local Brooklynite ....We are expecting a large turnout of 100+ as the night wears on. For those Adonis regulars who aren't into the big party scene, the crowd shouldn't get large until after 11 or so. The show will begin @9 promptly for those who wish to attend but avoid the crowd.

 

Well, you can't say that the management didn't inform/warn us, I went to the Adonis Lounge knowing there was going to be a party and a large turn out. I arrived around 9pm when the dancing was supposed to start but didn't see anyone on stage till after 9:30.

 

There were about 10 dancers, a few that were scheduled to work bailed at the last minute and only 1 of my favorites showed up. The other dancers were all familiar faces.

 

When I entered the club I immediately noticed that the lap dance area was set up for party seating and the champagne room was now upstairs. As the night went on, the lap dance area became very crowded with young men and women just standing around. Some of whom were curious about what was taking place in this area. I felt very uncomfortable doing a lap dance and one patron commented that some young guys were observing his entire lap dance. If these parties do continue perhaps there can be a different arrangement of the chairs.

 

The party came alive when dancer Brooklyn performed on stage. His moves are very high energy and jerky. His back flip got the girls screaming for more. He was followed by the female pole dancer "Sapphire". She was very entertaining and was "rained on" with dollars from both Mark E and the many women in attendance. Sapphire surprised or should I say shocked one of our board members when she sat on his lap and began to fondle him.

 

An impromptu stage show took place by 2 of the young party goers. I believe their names were Dean and David. To me, it was the highlight of the night. With encouragement from host Buffdaddy to shout loud if you want them to take it off, these guys did a really good job and I was hoarse after their performance.:o Hopefully these guys will return for an encore performance.

 

It was good seeing a few men from Hooville and I hope they will contribute their take on the party.... Said with my ears still ringing from the party's loud music, this might not be the type of event I would attend again but, in all fairness, the management did a very professional job in organizing the event and accommodating all the customers. Since this was the first "make it rain" party, I'm sure everyone has learned something.

 

So, to sum up last night's party you'd probably say, the door made money, the bar made money, but the dancers didn't. It wasn't because the regulars didn't help out, it's because there were so few regular customers and the many young party goers basically don't do lap dances or tip. As a result, the dancers I spoke to were all complaining. That's an issue for management to deal with.

At last Thursday's "Make It Rain" party there were 2 young patrons who took to the stage and stripped to their boxers/briefs, any chance of booking them for your lineup? Their stage show brought everyone to their feet and even got dancer "dirty jersey" to join them on stage and perform a simulated sex act with one. It was a lot of fun and a real crowd pleaser.

 

What I liked about these guys with that boy-next-door look was their enthusiasm for dancing and entertainment. They certainly weren't shy and added some liveliness to that "make it rain" party.

 

Perhaps other board members there like, Strafe13, CGFD, TAZ, Tippy, and skynyc can contribute their thoughts on this one. As for me, I won't mind doing a lap dance with both.

Darn, and here I was trying to stay incognito on this one, Coop! Just kidding I actually had a blast last week. And I did think those 2 young men were very attractive and I wouldn't mind seeing them again. I get the feeling though that this is not their line of work and that the alcohol and the festive nature of the night (celebrating their adorable friend's birthday) is what contributed to their energy and good spirits. That being said, I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed! So if the Lounge can bring them back I'm all for it, but I think that was a 1-time only show.
