I just got back from spending almost a week in Toronto on vacation. I had such a good time I really did not want to come home. But it's a good thing I did, because I'd be broke very quickly if I lived there. I did lots of interesting cultural things during the day, but I also had lots of fun at night. I visited old standby Remington's and newcomer Flash on Church 3 times each. I had 2 great nights and one dud at Remington's and 3 great nights at Flash.

Remington's first. I visited on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The first two nights were just what I hoped they'd be, the last was depressing. There were 10 or so dancers both weeknights, not sure how many there were on Saturday since I didn't stay that long. There is really a wide range of guys here, including a couple of out of shape dancers who need to hit the gym a bit more. My favorites included:

Alex/Attila (several of them gave me more than one name, or gave me a different name when I chatted with them than the DJ announced for them, so I had a hard time keeping track), a big handsome, muscular Hungarian guy who works as a personal trainer during the day - very friendly, beautiful body.

Miguel, a tall, muscular Dominican, big cock. I did a private with him. I stopped after one dance, he wanted to charge me for more because we'd done more than he considered appropriate (rub your big hard cock against my mouth and I'm likely to open up - sue me). I ended up giving him half what he wanted and he seemed satisfied, and spoke perfectly cordially to me the rest of the night.

Andrei/Luke, muscular Russian guy with a big cock. Miguel's roommate. I wanted to do a private with him, but the timing never worked out.

Tyler, a chatty little twink, nice body, very friendly

Jack, said he was Mr Remington's last year, good body, 30-ish, lightly hairy, did a very sexy show, managed to get hard on stage multiple times. I asked him what his rules were for a private. His answer: "Just don't stick anything up my ass." I can live with that, and Jack did a very sexy private dance with me. Definitely the best private dance of the week.

Remington's charges $20 per song for private dances, plus you pay $5 for the booth (the dancer pays $5 too). Tuesday and Wednesday there was a mandatory coat check, but they didn't have that on Saturday, for some reason. It was generally pretty slow Tuesday and Wednesday. Not so slow that every dancer was pestering me for privates every minute, but slow enough that I usually felt like I could talk to any dancer I wanted. Really an ideal level of busy-ness for me, if not for the dancers.

Saturday I went to Remington's early (around 8) because I had plans to meet a friend at Flash later. Only the downstairs was open at that point (only the upstairs is open on weeknights). It was really dark and the music was loud. There was a guy dancing onstage, and most of the customers were sitting there, silently watching. It seemed grim and depressing to me somehow - just sort of dreary. The upstairs opened at 9, but when I went up to check it out, it was all women. The only men up there were the dancer and the bartender. Having women around during the week really hadn't bothered me at all, but this was different. I left pretty quickly after that.

Now for Flash. I have to say I loved it. It's on Church, in the building where a fancy steakhouse used to be (on the same block as Woody's/Sailor). I went 3 times. There were about 10 dancers each night. At least half were twinks, but there were several bigger, more muscular guys every night. It's a private club. A one-year membership costs $25, but you can also buy one-day memberships for $5 (all they ask for is your name). There's no cover charge beyond the membership. They do not allow women in. There's an optional coat check downstairs. The place still looks a bit like a fancy steakhouse, with wood paneling throughout. There are 2 floors, with a bar, the main stage, and a pool table in the back on the ground floor, and on the second floor another bar, a smaller stage in a window overlooking the main floor where dancers occasionally perform, and the private dance area. Private dances are $20, and you have to pay $10 for the booth.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. There is a guy onstage almost all the time. They do what I think of as Montreal-style dances. That is, the DJ announces the dancer, he comes out and strips for a couple of songs, then he comes back a bit later and dances another fully naked; some of the guys did their second dance with hard-ons, but not all of them. Among my favorite dancers:

Rami, a muscular and hairy Israeli guy who gave me a tour of the club. He offered me various deals on private dances over the next 3 nights. I took him up on it right away, and he does a great private. Unfortunately, he's on his way back home to Israel - for good, he says.

Brad,a tall older guy (40+) with long hair and a great body. He seemed really sexually charged, and I thought he'd do a good private dance. But he wanted me to commit to a lot of dances in advance, and I didn't feel like doing that. Maybe next time.

Caspian, great body, muscular and cut, face looks kind of like Robert Downey Jr. Very intelligent and laid-back. Did an OK private with him.

Joey, mid-20s, muscular little guy. Did a good private dance my last night. I don't usually go for such young men, but he was too sexy to pass up.

Jackson, my true discovery of the week. Skinny white guy with glasses, in his mid-20s, but very muscular with washboard abs and a big fat cock. He's straight, but very open-minded. Great to talk to, really smart and witty, so handsome and charming. He escorts too, and I see he's been reviewed here. He's physically not at all the type I usually go for, but the whole package was stunning. He did a very good private dance, very clear about what he'll do and how much he charges for it.

Flash has just this week started being open 7 days a week, from 2 pm to 2 am (it had been Thurs-Sun, 4 pm to 2 am, since they opened Halloween weekend). They seem committed to good customer service and a friendly atmosphere (Joey told me he appreciated the drama-free mood there, after having danced at Taboo and Adonis in Montreal). They plan to have dancers during the day, but they hadn't worked out the details yet, and none of the dancers I spoke with had been approached about working days.

All in all, a great week in Toronto.

I can't wait to visit Toronto this Spring in May! I was debating between Ft. Lauderdale, Chicago, or Montreal but I'm choosing Toronto.

Toronto has many street twinks in the Spring/Summer. It's unfortunate the Stroll is no longer active, but you can still find some good cruising action on the sidewalks in the village.

I'm not sure who told you this, but they may have been exaggerating. There are some crack-head types who hang out in the parks around the village and sell drugs and hustle a bit, but from the many posts I've read from you about the type of guys you like, I think you might be disappointed. And I do live in Toronto by the way.

I'll be there around then too. I'm curious about Flash, wasn't open the last time I was there, and I found Remington's to be just OK.

Never knew about the street scene though, thanks for sharing that. You got any more info on it?

I was in TO a couple of weeks ago. Did both Remington's and Flash.. was treated very well by staff and dancers at both locations. I liked Flash a little better because they had a bartender named Patrick working the back bar downstairs who exuded positive energy. He was just a great guy to be around. Had a great time.
