We have a HUGE event planned tonight at Adonis w/ 2 birthday parties. I turn 30 at the stroke of midnight- Im officially irrelevant! It is also Neo's birthday, one of our most popular dancers and an all around nice guy :) We've assembled what I think is our best lineup to date featuring 3 brand new hot dancers and 18 total. One is a fitness model, one does porn, and the other looks like he could do both! You'll have to cum down to see which is which...

For my & Neo's birthday we will have homemade FREE food to feed everyone. Come enjoy fresh salad, baked ziti, and lemon grilled chicken all evening long. The food will be out beginning at 8pm so have a late dinner w/ ur favorite boys.

To the lineup: Jonny, Adam, Luis, Scott, Spencer, Neo, Milian, Nikoli, back by popular demand Paris & Alexander, newcumers Christian & Claudio, NJ brothers Jason & Marc, new to Adonis: Jaxon & Mark from Boston, and finally William...his pics will tell the story.

For those of u who are interested, here is a link to my newest Pro Wrestling video I shot in Orlando for Thundersarena.

This looks like a fun event - I have never been to this club, though... If anyone has, could you share some thoughts about it with the group?

NYNakedTop... Last year I wrote a review of the Adonis Lounge in the Strip Club Forum Faq, I've attached the link... After reading it, if you have any specific questions, just ask.... I've always had a good time at this club. If you decide to go tonight, please share your thoughts... Coop

Huge thanks, Cooper! I am planning to brave the horrible New York weather and make it out to the Club tonight. If any other forum folks are thinking about it, let me know.... Look for my reflections back here afterwards. (Oh, I will be the guy wearing the Columbia hoodie!)

So, guys, I actually made it to Adonis last night, and, as promised here are some of my thoughts.

I was not warmly welcomed and felt a bit uncomfortable at the outset. I got here kind of early (about 9) and everyone who was there seemed to know one another and I felt like a bit of an intruder at a private party. Would have been nice to have been at least greeted and told how the place works.

BUT: Having said that, once the evenings activities got started (closer to 10pm), I relaxed and started having a really fun time. Some of the dynamics there confused me a bit, and I find the whole lap dancing thing a bit unsatisfying (more of a tease than anything else), but the guys were nice and friendly and the atmosphere pretty non-pushy. As for the guys themselves, there was a nice variety (some more to my liking than others, but that is always the case, right?) and they were friendly and welcoming. I did exchange numbers with one guy there and hope we meet again.

How would I change it? Well, it would be nice to have an opportunity to get MORE intimate (a la Bangkok clubs), and more comfortable seating to be able to have a conversation with/buy a drink for/flirt with the guys would be nice. And maybe the guys who might like to meet off-premises should have name cards or something.... but that is their decision, not mine.

So, bottom line: Fun place, I got all hard and horny, I will go again, and could see myself becoming a regular. Sure, some things could be improved, but, all in all, a great experience that I will remember.

Anyone else have thoughts on the place?

Naked Top, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on The Adonis Lounge. Glad you were able to check it out.

First off, I'm surprised to read that you weren't welcomed "warmly". One of the pluses that has been mentioned in most reviews is how friendly management was to them. I'm disappointed to hear that you weren't shown around and greeted in a friendly manner. It's those little extras that go a long way.

I agree with you that attending a strip club with friends is a lot better than attending alone. Most patrons are there to check out and spend time with the dancers and tend not to pay much attention to other patrons.

NY lap dances are just that, a "tease". Laws limit nudity and touching, however, some dancers are more accommodating than others. Also, the more comfortable the dancer becomes with you the better the lap dance gets... Btw, did you visit the champagne rooms for a private dance?

When the Adonis Lounge first opened you would find dancers working at 8pm. When the stage shows started later and later and dancers were just arriving around 10pm, I stopped going. Starting at 10pm on a week night is too late for the (older) men who support this type of entertainment. Both the 20 Club and LeBoyz recognize this and start their events much earlier.

Glad you had a good time and will be returning... Since the manager of the Adonis Lounge reads this Forum, next time you are there, introduce yourself to him and I'm sure he'll see that you get the same royal treatment that I and others receive.

Hey, Coop-man!

I really appreciate the attention you are giving my posts, questions, whatever... you make me feel truly welcome and a part of this great community. Thanks.

I received an email last night that there will be another ADONIS night in brooklyn tonight (saturday) so I am going to try to make it out there again tonight. So clearly I had a good enough time on my first visit to warrant a return trip! But.... the initial welcoming that would have made ALL the difference on my first time (when I entered looking very clearly confused) just did not happen. I don't think I look like a sketchy character or anything like that....My only greeting was someone asking me for the $10 cover charge. :-(

As for the "champagne room", well - it sounds great but, here again, this is the first time I have heard about it. I would love to know what it is and where it is. I am NOT shy at all (and frequent NYC sex clubs and parties often and am a major show-off, hehe), so I do not need privacy in my encounters, but I do like some comfort. Since I live in Bangkok part of the year, I know the go-go bar scene there well, and I guess I tend to make an unfair comparison between the Big Mango and the Big Apple.

Who IS the manager? Is it the gentleman who appears in the HOT wrestling video that was linked to an email? I did have a nice time with one of the dancers from last time, and there are a few I would really like to get to know better as well. So I will be there with high expectations tonight, hehe!

Once again guys: look for the COLUMBIA hoodie!

Naked one... Should be easy to recognize the manager tonight as he will be the one celebrating his birthday. Yes, he's the one in the wrestling video... Not sure how things will be set up tonight for the birthday party, however, the champagne rooms are located in the back behind those black sheets (by the pool table). If it's still the same, you get about 20 minutes of private time with a dancer for $100... If you decide to give it a shot, make sure you discuss with the dancer exactly what you are expecting. If he sounds agreeable, go for it!

Have fun tonight and give us a full report...

An update on my ADONIS experience...

As I said I would, I returned on Saturday night for my visit #2. Had a good time, some of the problems seemed ironed out, but not quite a seamless experience (yet!). I was definitely made to feel more welcome, and the manager recognized me from my last visit (which had been my first), and that was really nice.

But -- the evening got off to a slow and late start (nothing really started much before 11pm) and for we Manhattan-ites, that can make for a very very late night when you take into consideration the difficulties inherent in NYC mass transit from Brooklyn back to what we like to call "the City". I was warmly welcomed by one dancer who I enjoyed very much (he even gave me a slice of his pizza), but, honestly the guys seemed a bit stand-offish, some more interested in talking to one another or just ignoring everyone which gave the place a cold feeling.

I will try again this Thursday. I have enough faith in the place to try again, and I kind of like the idea that it is not as "polished" as some Manhattan clubs can be.

I do recommend a try for this place.... we will see if the third try is the charm!

Love you all,

Richard

It's funny - one of the things I like most about ADONIS (Compared to other clubs in the area) is that the dancers are LESS PUSHY. So what you call stand-off-ish I think of as giving everyone their space. I find the dancers can be quiet responsive if you indicate a little bit of interest. I much prefer being left alone to enjoy the stage show (or the ones walking around) and hang with friends and then invite the dancer to join in, rather than the constant "Wanna lap dance?" you get in other places... Like with any place, it's what you make of it. I hope you will keep trying it until you find your own rhythm. As you become more familiar to the boys I am sure they will become friendlier. And if there is someone you're interested in who you can get seem to get the attention of, you should ask Tim. I am sure he will be happy to arrange an introduction!

HAVE FUN!!

You raise a really good point -- my frame of reference is Bangkok where I live part of every year, where the boys make a bit of a fuss over the clientele.... But you are right, with familiarity will grow comfort I am sure!
