Ok guys I need some help. I live in North Orange County and know absolutely NOTHING about the West Hollywood strip club scene. I have a friend who will soon be visiting from out of town. The one request he has made is to visit some of the Weho strip clubs. Here are a few question I hope someone can answer for me.

1. What are the best bars/clubs to visit?

2. What are the best nights to visit?

3. What is the best time to arrive. Is the later the better?

4. Do the dancers ever dance nude?

5. Do the strippers get raunchier the later it gets.

6. Are there lap dance rooms available?

7. Are most of the dancers gay or straight?

8. Do the dancers, as a rule, escort or not?

Any help you can provide including additional information you think pertinent will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Epigonos, given that none of the clubs rely on strippers as their main source of business, my experience has been that they have different nights where strippers are featured. Thus one night might be dead at one bar, but lively at another. MJ's and Micky's seem to be best known for their strippers. Again, the time varies. Micky's could have some interesting guys at nine, whereas another bar might not until 11. I think Micky's and MJ's have the earliest appearances.

Nudity is banned in bars which serve alcohol, which means all of them. I have noticed that some dancers show their butts more than others, and some make it clear what is under their underwear or Speedo. (think Kristian!) No lap dances are available, no raunchiness appears later in the night that did not appear earlier, and most guys do not escort. As to gay or straight, who cares? As long as they are up there shaking it, I don't.

All that having been said, there is no doubt someone better equipped to advise on this than I. I just thought a quicker answer that might be generally true would be better than waiting for an expert.

Yes it is a pretty tame scene. No-one should go expecting Montreal-style entertainment. In fact, I think the dancers are more like gogo boys than strippers. There is no "stripping" involved in the entertainment. Mickey's seems to be the most consistent in WeHo in terms of having gogo boys on most (all?) nights.

This is all true. Everything here is pretty tame.

Here Lounge in WeHo has "stripper circus" on Wednesdays and a friend said it's a load of fun. There's info on their website and pics on yelp. Have a good time.
