Hello. I dropped a note in the escort site regarding potential visits when I'm in Miami next month. Question;

anyone know of gay clubs/bars that are nice to visit during the day. I'll have some time to spend mid to later

afternoon and would like to have some fun. I know afternoon's aren't necessary the active gay times but thought

there might be some fun. Many thanks.

I have to comment on this one in reference to your thread about not getting any replies, I just didn't see it posted. Maybe try ask escorts next time...your thread will stand out more LOL.

I'm from South Florida so I know a bit about Miami/Ft Lauderdale. I say a bit because it's been going on 4 years since I lived there but just visited last October.

Tips are: On the Mainland (the part that's not Miami Beach) You can spend a whole afternoon in Halouver Park which is the nude beach for gay, straight, bi, voyeur, curious, confused...whatever. That's in North Miami Beach near Bal Harbour. You can google it. Then there's Aventura Mall nearby as well which is the more sophisticated mall of Miami. There's the Space Museum near Coconut Grove and Viscaya, or you can visit Coco Grove itself. There's also my old neighborhood the Art district near 36th and Biscayne with the galleries and paintings. Although during the day it can be kind of quiet and at night kind of seedy...but safe. Don't feel threatened, it just 'looks' dangerous. But it's lots of interesting things to look at along 2nd avenue.

When it comes to Miami Beach, your best bet is to stay from Lincoln road south to about 5th and Ocean. So much stuff to do can't mention. Walk along Lincoln, Washington or Ocean. Collins is mostly hotels and Condos not much to see. Palace on Ocean Drive and the gay beach at 12th and Ocean. Just make sure you know what you're buying when ordering drinks or food along Ocean Drive. They suck you in with good deals but you can leave a place spending $300 like nothing.

Don't forget to check out Wilton Manors 25 miles north in Ft Lauderdale. More geared to the older gay scene as well but is like the Castro, Chelsea and Oaklawn of Florida. It's the gay mecca, South Beach Miami is heavily gay but not really gay friendly (weird I know). Lots of things to do in Wilton Manors, can't mention it all either.

Keep in mind you may or may not have time to see it all. Traffic in Miami can get bizzare when you have people from 1,000 different countries on the highways. But most of it is confined to I-95 between Miami and Lauderdale during rush hour. There's a couple alternate highways to the beach that you can get to with ease. It's not like crossing into San Francisco or Oakland.

I just spent a week in Miami Beach for work combined with some leisure time. I rented an apt in quiet meridian Av and 10th St, quiet enough but 4-5 minutes walking from Washington Av, Collins, Ocean and of course the beach. Renting a car is a no-no (or VERY expensive) especially during the week end, as most streets are reserved for residents from 6 pm to 7 am weekdays, and from 6 pm Fri to to 7 am Mon! I brought my rental car back after one day (supposed to have it for the whole week), I rented a bike and it was great! Haulover Beach is beautiful (a bus takes you there in 1/2 hour), and if you like a bit more quiet, in the morning during weekdays it's REALLY beautiful, and it's nice to see many naked man (and women...) of all shape or forms.
