Have you ever mentioned a "potential" review to a prospective escort with the expectation that he would therefore come through with one of his better performances? If so, did it work? Could it "backfire"?!

I know that such a tactic would not be necessary or effective with such standard class acts like Rick, Franco, etc., etc., etc., who have a litany of well deserved, postive reviews on this site because they consistently give it their best and have earned such reviews.

But what about the escorts who have not been reviewed on this site or who maybe have only one or two reviews? Has anyone ever tried that tactic? Did it, in your opinion, have any impact at all...positive or negative?

I have definitely found that using the threat of a negative review on this site to escorts makes them MUCH more cooperative and accomodating.

A few weeks ago I was with an escort who had a relatively high hourly rate ($250). At the end of the hour, he said: "Do you want to stay another hour or call it quits?" I wanted neither of those options - I wanted to stay for another half-hour and not be charged more.

So, I said: "I'd like to stay another 30 minutes or so thrown in to the first hour" - and when he looked a little befuddled, I said: "you wouldn't want a review posted on Hooboy complaining about what a clock-watcher you are, would you"? It worked like a charm - he said "No problem, you can stay" - and I then had sex with him for a full extra hour without any charge past the first hour.

Another time I was with a super hot escort and I wanted to be rimmed. Since I'm not normally in the mood for that with escorts, I didn't ask in advance if he does it, but this escort had a hot tongue and I wanted it licking down there.

So I said: "I want you to rim me" and he said: "I don't really do that with clients." So I said: "well, I guess your Hooboy review I submit is going to have to discuss how unaccomodating and uptight you are."

Needless to say, the tongue was quickly out of his mouth - almost panting - and he gave me a great, enthusiastic rim job for about 15 minutes until I came on his face and left.

One of the values of this site is that it definitely keeps escorts in line and well-behaved - even going out of their way to please. Just mention this site to any escort who is not giving you what you want and I think you'll find it's a very effective tool of persuasion.

RE: Does mentioning a potential review impact an escort...

Although $250 is not chump change by any means-- I hope you gave the guy a little more than his (deserved/undeserved) fee since he spent additional time with you-- a whole hour which, for most escorts, amount to additional $$$$$$$'s.

I've have an escort with whom I've been with more than once; when I inquired about staying with him for two hrs., he agreed to lower his fee for me, provided I did not reveal this. It has not been told on this board or in his reviews by me.

But, in conjunction with the initial question-- I never threaten an escort with a poor review; I just don't review this escort because there are many factors why his performance might be completely different from how he's supposedly performed with others. It could be you; it could be he, or a combination of both of you NOT clicking. (A month ago I saw an escort in SF who did nothing for me: I terminated the appointment, paid him half his fee (like a damn fool) and subsequently wrote a negative review. When he told me that he didn't kiss because he was in a relationship, I was pissed: also there was little to no foreplay on his part; in fact he seemed shocked when I opened the door to my hotel room: this was the first time that that had happened, and it was my first and only negative review. I don't know how the guy is doing, for I see NO reviews written about him-- good or bad.

As far as clock watching goes, I've never had (within my three years of seeing escorts) an escort who overtly watched the clock (which has always been extant on one of the bed stands in the innumerable hotel rooms in which I've stayed.

My answer is definitely NO.

I do not think it is appropriate to use blackmail as a tool for anything.

In my experience, and only at the end of my time with an escort, and only when I have had a positive experience, I will ask the escort if they would like me to post a review -- no one has ever said no.

RE: Does mentioning a potential review impact an escort...

LMAO! I loved this tounge in cheek response. :)

My first concern would be "what a total downer turnoff" to threaten (and, imo, that is just what this tactic would be, a threat) an escort in this manner. If I was an escort, and this was stated to me, I would immediately depart the scene.

My second concern would be that there are a heck of a lot of escorts out there who have never heard of this site, and would wonder just what the fuck you were talking about. Of course this situation would only exist with those clients who are able to hire an escort who has not been reviewed here and who can make a decision for themselves without first getting the seal of approval from the mere handful of clients who post here. How pathetic that there are some clients who will dismiss an escort without that "seal of approval". I suppose they will "never go where no other client has ever gone before". And those clients who do go there and write a review are totally dismissed as a first time reviewer and the escort who encounters these clients is also dismissed/questioned, as all his reviews are first time reviews. Sounds like a double-edged sword to me.

I have only asked one escort previously reviewed here if he would be okay with me posting a positive review. His reply to me was "I don't care what you post, as I have a few positive reviews already". I suppose with such an outlook, that such an escort could possibly not care if he lived up to his reputation, as he could dismiss the client via a response, which the client also can not respond to, unless he posted on the mc, and that post was not deleted.

It is not my intention to castigate this poster, but somehow what he wrote borders, to me, on blackmail. I have no problem with negotiating with an escort for more time, etc., but to raise the spectre of a possible unfavorable review, seems inappropriate to me. If the escort does not fulfill whatever has been discussed prior to the session, then that's a different story, but I find threatening in order to get more time, distasteful. I think that this is the kind of thing that creates and promulgates distrust between clients and escorts. It's a slippery slope at best in these transactions, and anything that increases the stakes, is to me, at least not productive in the long run.

I also agree that threatening an Escort with a review borders on Blackmail and I find that very disrespectful of the Escorts.

I write a lot of reviews and there are only 2 ways that an Escort will know that before I see them. The first is if the Escort is a regular poster on the Message Center. I will generally let them know my Hooboy Handle since I've probably responded to them before here. (Example is that Rick Munroe and Derek knew who I was when I saw them. :p :* :9 ) The second is if an Escort is to ask me how I found out about them and I reply Hooboy, some have asked me if I write reviews and I answer Yes. I had one that asked me this at the end of the session. I mentioned he had also been mentioned in the Message Center.I had my laptop with me and he asked to look at the comments on the site and wanted to know who I was on the site. He joined me for dinner and added over the meal that he was now very scared because he felt he had not done his best due to the limited time he let me Top him. He offered to do anything too make it up to me. I felt that was unfair to him and did not take him up on that offer. Besides I still had enjoyed a very good time with him and expressed that to him. I did call him the next day and asked if he wanted a repeat and I would pay his normal fee. I must say he was a very enthusiastic Bottom Boy the next night.

I will generally e-mail an Escort after I return home (only hire when I travel) and thank them for seeing me, if I've had a good time, and mention my Hooboy handle and a review. I have only had one Escort that this seemed to scare. He too felt he had not been at his best and offered a free hour if I returned to his city. I turned him down on the Free hour and told him I'd love to see him again when I returned and that I would pay his full fee but I'd be pleased to have his company for dinner (off the clock) after our time together. He readily agreed and I plan to see him in a few months if he is still Escorting.

I find the threat of a Review at the beginning or during the session to be inappropiate, manipulating, offensive and a form of Blackmail.

I cannot imagine any escort not wanting to voluntarily, eagerly, splash his tongue all over Doug's gaping hole. He would feel like he was at a chow-down barbecue pit! Doug's problem would actually be trying to pry the guy's face off his butt cheeks!

I am quite sure it was his attempt at sarcasm--and actually good this time.

But when you realize that Doug69 is actually HairyDomBraz27, himself an ESCORT that goes by the name of MAX, then it becomes even funnier :+

Very well written and I'm sure expresses the sentiments of most of us.

While there is always the spector of a "bad review" in the background -- for any escort who is aware of this board at least, I think it should be left in the background and unmentioned and certainly never used to cause one to go beyond his limits or comfort level, or as a lever to wrangle free time.

REALLY? On what basis do you make this assumption that Doug69 and HairyDomBraz27 are the same? Speaking only for myself, if they are indeed the same, I certainly like Doug69 a whole heck of a lot more! I sure hope they are different people because I really like Doug69, but I didn't care much for the other, but even if they are the same, I don't care as I will go one on one with each poster's handle/persona.

BTW: Welcome back as even though I often virulently disagree with you on lots of points, it is still good to see you post your views again after a long absence on your part. Now that Ethan is posting in green, perhaps one of you need to choose an new ink color?

Thanks hawk--I was in a 6 week trial in Federal court so a lot of catching up to do. And it's nice to have Ethan back despite the fact that he does green also--but since he originally used green and it was only out of protest for him getting kicked off the MC over a year ago I started, I guess I should yield the green and find "my own" color :) How's this maroon?

As to Doug69 being the reincarnation of HairyDomBraz27 I can only say it's on the most reliable authority. I've known it since before my trial started, but just haven't been posting since I was so busy. Once I found out, I spent a few minutes comparing their rantings and there are lots of similarities--at least to the initial writings of doug69--not to his more recent, toned down and sometimes entertaining ones.

Are you switching to red font now? }(

RE: Does mentioning a potential review impact an escort...

Unless the escort knows I hired him from Hoo's site I never tell them about this site & a review till we are finish for the evening. A few were scared about the review I was going to do, I told them it will be a very nice review. I always send them a copy of the review before Hoo post it on here. If I had a bad time with the escort I never tell them about doing a review on them till after it's posted.

To my surprise when I first started posting reviews if I seen the escort a second time we had a better time than the first and a few even cut their rate for me for the GREAT review I did for them. A lot told me because of the first time review their business picked up anywhere from 50 to 75 % just because of the review.

I could never threaten like someone else would do just to get free time or better service, that is really "LOW"

When in doubt I whip it out:+

Well, I won't pressure you for more specifics than you feel you should provide, as that is your personal opinion and judgement.

LOL! No, my ink color is not now red, just the basic black, as I am much too lazy to go to the effort of changing font color.

I brought up the issue of Ethan's ink color and was given the exact explanation that you provided, as I thought green was your unique mo. But I like the hotpink that Ethan suggested more than the maroon you picked as it stands out like the bright green.

I second your delight and support of Ethan's return to the board. I wasn't here before when he was here, so to me, he is a new poster and one who is most welcome.

I think it is really classy of you to support him during his banishment by posting in his signature green.

The one thing that this Board certainly does not have a shortage of are morons who assert that they know things with certainty when, in actuality, they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

There are, literally, at least 10 other posters whom I have been accused of being at one point or another - and the accusers always claim to know for sure. The super slueths here have announced that I am, in no particular order: Ad rian, FinFangFoom, Woodlawn, Axhebia, TruthTeller, Regulation, Donnie, and now - courtesy of the wife-abandoning car accident lawyer - HairyDomBraz27. And there are others.

They all run around following me from thread to thread repeating their belief that I am one poster or another, only to then fade away once they realize that they are wrong or, more freuqently, how amazingly irrelevant their crusade is.

The most astoudning thing I have read here in quite some time (and that is saying a lot!) is that Flower actually claims to have conducted a comparative assessment of my "early writings" here with those of HairyDomBraz27's, and detected "similarities" in writing and belief.

Now think about that - some people in academia compare the writings of two literary figures, for example, and then announce that the "early writings" of one is similar to the other.

But Flower actually sat down and engaged in this process by printing out my writings in this escort forum, and then compared them to the writings of the poster who went by the name "HairyDomBraz27", and searched out similarites and patterns in language and thought in order to complete his investigation into whether these two posters are the same.

I mean, seriously - really think about how creepy that is - how empty and barren must your life be to do THAT?

That must have been some car accident to justify a 6 week-trial. And I love how you have to let us know that your trial was in "federal court" - ooohhh, impressive. I guess the driver of one car lived in a differnt state than the driver of the other.

So now I'm HairyDomBraz27. This is poster # 18 I've been accused of being. This time, I'm a 27-year old dominant prostitute from Rio! Awesome!

How much money are willing to bet how wrong you are? How'd that trial go? Your pockets full? Put some of that ill-gotten gain where your mouth is and let's bet about whether or not you are correct. Since you were told this on the Highest Authority, I'm sure you're willing, right?

Please say that you are joking here. I really can think of nothing creepier - or sadder - than some lonely old shyster sitting in his home with so little to do that he actually goes and finds the posts from a previous poster here from some time ago, prints out those posts, then prints out my posts, puts them side by side and begins to look for similarities in writing and thought.

You really did that?

It's considerably less creepy than your need to resort to pressure tactics to extort free time out of escorts. Of course, we've come to expect that sort of thing from you, Doug. You're operating in the tried and true traditions of your political party.

I plead guilty to the charge that I briefly entertained the notion that you might be FFF. Then it dawned on me, "What difference does it make who this guy is/was in earlier existences on this message board. All that matters is that you are currently an asshole in your present existence. Of course, I can see why that heightens the speculation. I'll bet it makes your cunt drip just to think of all those around the galaxy who wonder who you really are.........let's see....you said at least ten. Doesn't sound like a very significant number to me.

Now it's time for you to go into your usual snit about juvenile name calling and all the rest of the whining we've become accustomed to hearing from you. I am delighted that you've told us what a low-life you are in terms of your dealings with escorts. Next time you decide to lecture someone here on ethics, we'll be sure to take what you have to say very seriously.

It's interesting that responses took such a negative twist.

Certainly, the first example given; "You wouldn't want me to give you a negative review and tell what a clockwatcher you are" ...is outright blackmail!

My original post didn't mean to imply this kind of activity...although it has been very insightful, and disturbing, to learn that it goes on.

My question was specifically inquiring about mentioning a review on this site BEFORE even hiring the escort...therefore a "Prospective" escort...not threatening an escort with a negative review after you hired him because you don't like what is going on.

I've never tried it...and wondered if anyone had. I wasn't attempting to promote blackmail! I have asked escorts permission to write a positive review after a satisfactory encounter. (I don't ask permission to write a negative one after an unsatisfactory encounter))

My intent was more naive and pure than promoting blackmail. In the business world, people put their best foot forward when then know they are being reviewed or evaluated...that only makes perfect sense. I just wondered if this had any application to the business of escorting.

If I have found an escort through this site, I will always tell him so the first time that I contact him, and he can draw his own conclusion about whether I will write a review; I don't mention doing so until the end of the appointment. Of course, if he is at all sharp, he will check the site and discover that I usually do write reviews of my experiences, both positive and negative.

Oh, please tell me the difference between "mentioning a review on this site BEFORE" you hire the escort (which you are considering doing) and telling an escort in the middle of the session that you will write a negative review if he doesn't give you what you want??

Why would you mention this site and the possibility of a review to an escort before you meet OTHER THAN becasue you want him to be extra diligent wih you and to work extra hard to please you out of fear that you may write a negative review - EXACTLY what I do with escorts who aren't giving me what I want.

It's no different than walking into some restaurant and announcing that you are the food critic for a major newspaper. There is only one reason to do that - to make sure that they give you extra attention, that they lavish all sorts of things on you in order to make sure that you don't write a bad review.

You can call it "blackmail" if you wish - I call it using all leverage in negotiations, but either way, the tactic you contemplated at the begninning of this thread (brandishing the possibility of a review before meeting the escort) is totally indistinguishable from the tactic I use which you claimed to find so offensive (threatening a negative review in the middle of a session to induce the escort to be more "accomodating").

If anything, I would say that your proposed tactic is WORSE - because you want to have the fear of a bad review in the escort's mind before you even meet him - you want to introduce a climate of intimidation and punishment before knwoing whether the escort even needs the whip.

By contrast, my threats are used in a more restrained manner - I don't run around threatening every escort with a bad review, as you propose, but instead, use that whip only once an escort demonstrates disobedience. So you have some nerve labelling me a "blackmailer" and condemning my behavior when what you advocate is a limitless scheme of intimidation disguised as a discussion point - as in: "Hey, nice escorting career there - sure would be a shame if it go ruined by a bad review, huh?"
