I think it is just WONDERFUL how everyone has their little gatherings in LA, RIO and who knows where else to meet and have outings and parties using this site as the impetus and using this site in the advertising. Since you all are having a grand old time doing so, I'm just curious as to how many of you are making a contribution to HooBoy for making it all possible? How many of the hotels/bars/saunas etc. are making a contribution to HooBoy for increasing their business? Just curious.

 

Since HB provides this as a free site, then I sincerely hope that you guys and the establishments you promote are helping to keep the spirit alive!

That's an interesting post, my sweet raptor. I sadly must admit that I do not give financially to Hooboy. It takes me roughly two moths simply to save enough money to hire an escort for an hour. (Yes, that's right, I said two MOTHS!). Not to mention reserving money for my love of travel.

I am truly thankful for Hooboy's site, and wish it an eternity of success. I hope I can be forgiven for not pitching my pennies in.

La Trix. I was mostly referring to all the free advertising/recommendations/increased business to hotels/saunas/bars/clubs, etc. as a result of these Hooville soirees. Secondly, I was referring to those clients who will absolutely not hire any escort not reviewed here or who doesn't get the "seal of approval" from the clients who post here. Thirdly, I was alluding to those escorts, who "free of charge" get business from this site.

This is not a free site. Like many sites we dealing with plenty of advertising. This is a for profit site and if you go back and read some of HooBoy's comments he views it as such too. As someone posted he once wrote he has no intention of being a broke site owner. He and his not so well respected business partner make a large sum of money. Do you donate to MSNBC.com because you use it to get information from? Do you donate to RadVideo.com because you can use their message board for free? Do you donate to Yahoo.com because you can use their email service for free?

 

People like you need to wake up and understand that this site is for profit and profit it makes. If not do you really think HooBoy would be backing the site for such a long duration?

 

Your post is one of baiting and serves no real purpose. Maybe people want to simply donate quietly and don't feel the need to brag about it on this forum. Do you donate to AMFAR for example, and then email all your friends letting them know about your feat? I doubt it.

 

If someone wants to donate to this site because maybe they felt it enriched their pocketbook or life so drastically then that is their personal decicion.

I'm not trying to bait anyone! And as I implied, I was only curious about those using this site to promote other enterprises and whether such enterprises who gain business from this site contribute as such, and those who use this site to promote their own personal agendas also contribute as such. If that is an unreal purpose, then so be it, and I appreciate your view.

 

And all sites have advertising, most with multiple pop up windows of advertising, which I don't see here! And how can you possibly not see this as a free hassle free site under those circumstances? How many other sites do you know of that offer free access for escorts to promote their business and also offer clients free access to evaluations of those escorts? Well, so far my count is zero!

 

IMO, when you use are gaining business from this site, then in return, you should contribute to keeping the site going.

Since Hooboy's Paypal problem, I am not aware of a new way to send in a Donation. So I'm not sure there is a way to Donate at present.

 

And yes I also believe that if you use this site with any degree of regularity (not just the occasional user) and can afford it, you should help with financial support. I've hired close to 50 guys from the info on this site and I am as you say "having a grand old time doing so."

There are many ways to contribute to a site. Being helpful, posting interesting experiences, arranging get-togethers is mine. I'm told Hoo is appreciative of my efforts. If he ever makes it to LA I'd buy him dinner in a second, and if he ever posts that he needs money for the continued operation of the site I'd be right there too. That seems to be opposite of the case at the moment though. I've also submitted three reviews, one of a new find, and recommended others who have been enjoyed in the MC.

Actually, as others, including HooBoy, have brought up, I believe you are mistaken. He is not taking donations through paypal, but he has courteously arranged for alternive ways that we can turn our money over to him. He is so thoughtful!

I do agree that every single person here who contributes content to this site - especially reviews - is contribuing eneromously already to Hooboy, since it is that very content which attracts visitors whom he then sells to advertisers. Without these contributions, this site would be worthless.

 

That's why I've always thought the idea of making monetary contributions to this site was an odd one. The business model Hooboy is using is indentical to that used by television networks -- TV networks provide content for free to viewers in the hopes of getting as many viewers as possible, and then sell access to those viewers to advertisers - same as Hooboy does with this site.

 

Would television networks ask for contributions from viewers on the ground that they are getting "free" content from the networks which they enjoy? Of coures not - the networks NEED the viewers to watch. That's why they give it away for free.

 

Here, it's even less justified to expect monetary contributions, since unlike television networks which pay for and provide their own content, the users here, the ones being asked to contribute, provide the very content that enables the site to charge advertiers.

I love how everyone thinks that the posters they happen not to like are unviersally disliked. As any entertainment executive will tell you, the one thing that doesn't sell is boredom - and Hawk's posts, unlike most here, are almost never boring. I did read it, there's vague mention of emailing for a postal address, last I heard it'd be an international address. Even back when Pay Pal was an option HooBoy recommended that people donate to a local AIDS charity instead if they had problems with Pay Pal.
