Yes, Juan definitely has misremembered the circumstances of the 2007 EOY contest, because Hooboy died in March 2005.

Jesus Christ! I'm way too old to trust my memory. I stand corrected then. Then this must have been with Daddy, not Hooboy.

Fuck, he died ten years ago? It's such a cliche but time does fly.

Thanks for the correction. I should ease up on the margaritas.

I have known Rick as a casual friend for almost fifteen years -- never hired him -- he has never been rude to me, quite the opposite.

I'll explain what I perceived as "rudeness".....petty as it might be.....a few years ago Rick & Derek were in LA & were driving to Phoenix for their next "tour" stop.....I had sent a cordial, detailed email with a return tele ### for them to call inquiring about having them stop in Palm Springs for an overnite arrangement.....I never even got the courtesy of a reply declining the offer & their declining could have legitimately been for any number of reasons.....for well established biz guys, I simply perceived that as rude.

I understand why you were upset.

It is a bit unclear from the above quote that they were planning to stop in Palm Springs after Phoenix. wklucas, please read your message over again, as if you did not write it. Initially I thought you were driving to Phonix ("we're").

Despite my last paragraph, I am sorry this happened to you.

William, I think it was an inadvertent superfluous apostrophe. So, 'Rick & Derek ... were driving to Phoenix...' and Palm Springs was on the way.

Several years ago I hired him for an evening; when he arrived and we fell into long fascinating conversation, I asked to extend to an overnight and he readily agreed; Derek accommodatingly drove over to my hotel to drop off Rick's overnight kit (toothbrush etc.). He kept up a warm engaged email exchange with me for years afterward. Never a negative atom anywhere in a long connection.

yes I corrected my mistaken "we're" for "were".....which is what I meant....Rick & Derek were driving from LA-Phx.....I simply offered the chance to stop in Palm Springs for an overnite if they were interested.....if they did not have the time (or interest) to do so, fine.....I didn't consider that it would be much out of their way no matter which route they were driving......no reply back from them of any kind was at least kind of rude......(I'm so embarrassed by my typo !!!!!)

wklucas, Do not worry about the typo. Consider giving Rick & Derek another chance. I'm not as busy as Rick, yet I just realized that I misssed 10 phone messages in the last few days. Stuff happens.

Thanks to Mike for your comment as well.

I respond to all emails and texts we receive, so it's entirely possible that I never received your email. Did you write again? Did you double check the email address? Did you try calling or texting? Occasionally, I am late getting back to people, if I'm busy and it's an email of this type: "Do you ever visit Denver?" Anyway, there are numerous reasons why somebody might not respond to an email, but assuming that they purposely ignored it and were therefore "rude" is more than a little unfair.

Some of these bitter guys holding onto foggy memories of many years ago are hilarious. I'm so glad to be back to the forum

Yes, it is good to have you back. I'm laughing right now reading my responses to several would be clients. I weigh every words when you are concerned like a bureaucratic United Nations diplomate, with a bit of demetia. It's even worse. I wrote those responses when I never thought you would get a chance to read them!!

What do Rick Munroe and Lamont Cranston have in common? (And the is Lamont Cranston not Lamont Sanford from Sanford and Son [i"i'll take Famous Lamonts for $1000 Alex]) They are shadowy figures who know what evils lie in the hearts of men.

the bitter will never change their ways. it's why they're bitter and sad in the first place.

I find the obsessive grudge holders in this group the most entertaining :)

Counting Ross and Munroe as one, although they are definitely two sexy men and I would love to see them back posting, but I digress, my count is 7. I have been with 5 before they won and 2 after. Perhaps I should add the other 5 to my bucket list. Others I may need to travel to see, but hey it would be a helluva ride.

Been with the following - Rick Munro, Juan Vancouver, Ace, Aaron Mark, Kristian Elix, AJIrons, Steven Draker , Brandan Steele, Tristan Baldwin.

You were disappointed. I would have been, too. But I don't see any kind of a deliberate snub. Even if there were, that's a long time to have something so small eating your lunch.

I really appreciate this post. I've been doing a similar thing - attempted to contact an escort early this year - text, no response; vmail, no response; email, no response. Tried all three media a second time, no response. I've been nursing the tiniest grudge about it. I think I can stop now.
