The new cover of Charlie Hebdo magazine. MSNB refuses to show it because it shows the prophet Mahomet with a sign saying "it's all forgiven" (not an accurate translation), is this the first victim of freedom of speech?

MSNBC responds to it's decision not to show the new cover of Charlie Hebdo. When all is said and done, I think that MSNBC makes some valid points.

Interesting the article quotes Scarborough and Mika Brezhinski's response, but doesn't mention that the more liberal hosts on MSNBC were quite openly disgusted with the network's decision not to run the cover.

Most of these networks will gleefully run video footage of a shooting. But a cartoon? Well, that's just a step too far.

The way I've seen this translated is "Mohammed overwhelmed by the fundamentalists" and "It's a drag being loved by assholes." See my first post in this thread and its link to a LiveJournal page with this cover image that was posted as a tribute to friends of the blogger who worked at Charlie Hebdo and were killed in the attack as well as everyone else at the journal.
