This is embarrassing. I'm 50 years old and I have developed a schoolgirl crush on Jonathan Groff.

I've known about him for years but within the past few weeks, I've gone from take him or leave him to full blown crush.

In my defense he sings wonderfully and his acting is superb.

So, anyone know him? From everything I've read he's a sweetheart.

Any thoughts on how to meet him without breaking any rules of polite conduct?

Finally, he does few concerts and I always hear about them afterwards. If anyone hears of an upcoming performance, do let me know.

Thanks.

That's funny. I just discovered HBO "Looking". So I watched all of season 1 and the 1st 3 episodes of season 2 in the last couple of weeks. (Ok days, not weeks)

I'm 47, and yes, I'm in love with Jonathan Groff. Or maybe it's Patrick on the show I'm in love with because I didn't know about Groff before seeing him here.

Anyway, I love everything about him.

And I'm not embarrassed!

Been a big fan of his since "Spring Awakening", have seen most of his work on stage in New York. Enjoying "Looking" on HBO as well. If you want to see him full frontal - check out the 2010 movie "Twelve Thirty", although that's probably the only reason to watch the movie.

I met Jonathan Groff when "Spring Awakening" was still off-Broadway nine years ago. There was a lawn in front of the theater, and the cast apparently hung out there on days there were two performances. He was very open to chat. I asked him about dropping his pants and showing his butt at every performance of the musical. Groff: "No problem after I did it the first time." His mother was there and some cousins. Since "Looking," several people have asked me how tall Groff is. Surprising question, not sure why people care. The answer is 5-10. Very nice guy.

I'm not watching it. I've decided that in general I'm not interested in seeing shows or movies about attractive gay males who either have no problems meeting guys or that who somehow can't find the right guy until the good relationship fairy sprinkles pixie dust on them and they finally find their one true love. But for those who might be interested but don't have HBO, Season 1 is on iTunes.

Here's Taylor Kitsch carrying him for some reason. I don't know the story behind this....

I like Mr. Kitsch better as a brunette than a blond...

The scenes with Taylor and Jonathan are from Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart" on HBO. It's still available on HBO; Taylor Kitsch has a far more significant role than Jonathan Groff.

The last time I checked there were several Jonathan Groff concerts available on YouTube.

Speaking of Jonathan on YouTube, check out his "Anything Goes" homage to Sutton Foster:

(I'd never heard of the Miscast benefit program, but it looks like it could be very entertaining.)

+1

Awesome performance--adorable as well as talented.
