Book on Southwest and the ticket can be changed without loosing value. The ticket prices may change but the value is usable on another flight. The ticket value is returned to the individual named on the thick. I know SW is not the best Airline but for short flights it will do.

I have done that lots in the past. But many times when I did it, I used Southwest as a safety precaution. It's not quite as easy now. You do take your chances. My advice would be, if you can, keep it to well-reviewed guys.

Ok I used to use Southwest as much as possible. This may have been what you meant, but to clarify as it wasn't exactly clear to me--

 

#1. Years ago it used to be that if you bought a ticket on SW and needed to cancel it but wanted to keep the value of the ticket, you could use the value to get a ticket in anyone's name not just who was named as the original passenger.

 

#2. For at least the last 5 years or so, if you are keeping the value as a ticket, the only person who can use the value as a ticket is the originally named passenger.

 

#3. Some fare classes on SW are refundable. Those tickets can be refunded to the person who-assuming the ticket was charged-made the purchase. The fee will go back on the purchaser's card.

Tis better to pay as you go, but if you choose to buy him the ticket, then consider it a gift and let it go. Otherwise, the prepayment will piss you off if he never follows through with a session.

Oh I misunderstood this. I was thinking the ticket was to come to see you. But it sounds like others are thinking that he wants it as a fee for service. That's a difficult question. But in general probably better not to pay for him until y'all have actually met.

I'm not sure I understand this entire situation. If the guy is local and all he wants you to do is purchase a plane ticket to x destination for him in place of his fee the solution is easy. When he shows up at your place and after your session you can simply go on the internet and purchase the ticket. If he wants you to buy the ticket before you meet or before your session I'd tell him to take a hike.

Maybe so......my own feeling simply was that Doe Be Doe has enough experience to make decisions & not get taken....or not get taken advantage of either....if it was a "newbie" early in his own hiring, his instincts might not be that well honed.....I might be confusing the exact situation that DBD is presenting here.

I wouldn’t be so sure. We’ve had numerous threads warning against paying an escort at the beginning of the session. Not only is Doe Be Doe considering paying the escort for multiple sessions before the escort even shows up, but before even one session has been scheduled. If the escort needs a plane ticket or money for a plane ticket, there’s a reason he’s not getting it from his family or friends or his current clients, and he’s asking a complete stranger for it.
