We have at times had to put up with some pretty disgusting people. I'm proud of the fact that we have a forum that allows a wide ranging, and diverse population. But sometime I have to wonder if it's worth the effort. This is not a place for cat fights with flame throwers. If your going to be a Bitch; you are not welcome here. If you don't like it; wad your panties up and stuff 'em where the sun doesn't shine. The Only reason I haven't tossed several people out on their asses; is one reasonable post by sfmikeyo:

I'm always amazed when gay men use phrases like "twisted pup", "pychotic", "you're all twisted" ,"unnatural", et. al. to describe another's sexual inclinations. After all, aren't those the same adjectives the straight world has been using against us for generations?

 

I've known Mark for over two years now. I hired him from the Campus Theatre (see my review under the screen name Gaybayguy if you're interested). While we didn't click as escort-client, we have as friends. I've always found him to be considerate, friendly, bright and, most of all, perfectly sane.

 

In an earlier thread on this same subject, Mark wrote "either you get it or you don't". I freely admit that I don't get it...but he does and who am I to say that it's wrong or demented? He's not hurting anyone.

 

Perhaps we should all practice a bit of that tolerance for alternative lifestyles we're so quick to demand from others?

 

Retreating now to the comfort of the shadows...

I'm no Daddy-worshipper, and have disagreed with him many times in the past, but I agree Ten Billion Percent with everything he just wrote!

 

That was the most heinous thread I have ever read here. It sounded like the most vicious, hateful, Christian-Right moralizing which is usually directed at gay people. This time, though, it was spewed BY gay people, at another gay person, for no reason other than the fact that the target of these attacks happens to get aroused by a sexual practice with the Sermonizers don't find attractive. And based on that - and that alone - they called him insane, psychotic, sick, and basically treated him like he was a pervert and criminal. They don't even know him, and yet they were bubbling over with moral indignation and hateful name-calling.

 

The worst part of it was seeing someone who claims to be a doctor writing posts purporting to psychoanalyze this person (debating with himself whether he's "psychotic" or just pathetic, and ultimately concluding that he's insane), based on nothing other than the fact that this individual is turned on by a rather innocuous sexual practice (enlarged penises - ooohhh, how horrible!). No self-respecting or responsible doctor would use his professional license as a means for humiliating and demeaning others on a message board based on nothing other than his distate for someone's sexual practices.

 

Everyone who participated in that thread owes Mark a sincere and intense apology. This is, after all, a Board comprised of people who hire escorts and who seek to fulfill all sorts of unconventional sexual desires. This is the LAST place one would expect to find this sort of piranah-like attacks on someone due to their unusual sexual desires.

 

In case you haven't heard, the vast, vast majority of the population would think that YOU all are perverted and sick and psychotic for not only hiring gay escorts but also coming here to compare notes, let alone all the other things you do in order to get your sexual desires satisfied. The irony, the hypocrisy, the hideousness of these condemnations is truly astounding, and nauseating, to behold.

 

TO MARK - I hope you'll know that many people here do not share these views. You should also know that most of the people writing to condemn you are really writing NOT about you, but about themselves. Many of them feel ashamed of their own sexual practices, and so they seek out others they can call DISGUSTING and PERVERTED just to make themselves feel better about themselves (as in: "Maybe what I do is weird, but at least I don't do THAT"). It's the same thing homophobes do to them ("Maybe I beat my girlfriend and I've been married five times and I have every bizarre fetish, but at least I'm not a HOMO!").

 

You should go on doing EXACTLY what you like, and not pay the slightest attention to anyone who would purport to sit in judgment of your sexual practices - least of all from people whose own sexual practices would provoke exactly the same condmenation from most people which they, disgustingly, spat at you.

That's so weird. When I read it today, it sounded SO familiar - but I just chalked that up to hypocrisy of that sort being of the same strain, making it SEEM as though I had read it before. I didn't think 2-year old threads could be resurrected. How did that happen?

Interestingly, most of the people there doing the bashing in that thread are still around here, engaging in the same behavior. Too bad the thread is gone - it's a great illustration of some heinous tendencies which are not uncommon around here. But it's probably best that the extraordinarily ugly and unwarranted attacks directed at that individual won't be dredged up again.

It was a thread where someone put a link to an escort's site who specializes in enlarged (silicone-enhanced) penises. He provided the link to mock the escort and that sexual taste. Everyone piled on, talking about how sick that escort must be, how perverted this sexual practice is, how you have to be psychotic and insane to like that, etc. etc. It was a big pile-on, with every post topping the one before it in terms of how vicious and virulent the condemnation was.

 

Then, the escort who was being torn apart posted here (someone must have alerted him to it) to say: "What's the big deal? It's what I like. I don't judge you for what you like, why is what I like so bothersome to you?" In response, the Morally Superior Ones told him to get help and told him that he was a sicko. One regular poster here who claims to be a doctor spewed this pseudo-intellectual and incredibly reckless monologue in which he debated whether the escort was "pyschotic" or merely stupid. He ultimately pronounced him insane.

 

It was truly ugly. Ironically, the person who started the thread entitled it: "This has to be seen to believed" - THIS being the escort and his "sick" practices. To me, that is a perfect title - for the people who did what they did in this thread. Who would believe that a Board comprised of gay men who hire escorts would be the venue for this sort of Victorian preaching. It was like the guy was being stoned to death for aberrant sexual practices. And all of that HERE. In this place. As the original poster said, it "has to be seen to be believed."

Thanks for the explanation Doug69, but it seems that you, like Daddy, must have seen a 2 yo post that was resurrected and dismissed, before most of us saw the ugly resurrection (oops since I'm Christian can I make a facetious point that it is Easter season? ) Since the original thread was before my time here, I guess that explains why I had no CLUE what the hell was being discussed, but I certainly appreciate your taking the time to explain.

First off, I don't believe there is any such procedure as a silicone-enhanced penis enlargement. From the literature I've read, the length is only increased via a surgical procedure involving ligament snipping and weights and girth is increased via "fat injections" that dissolve over time and have led to disfigurement of the penis.

 

But all that aside, I have to agree with your observations on those who castigate others for approving/engaging in sexual practices that they personally disagree with, having the gall to cast stones at those people, when what they engage in is often viewed as just as appalling by a majority of the population. One needs to go no further back in time than the recent discussion on barebacking videos to see this hypocrisy in full swing! x(

I know you used the word "many" up above but it seems you are really being an armchair psychologist in degrading many people here just to reiterate a point you want to make to Mark when you did it tastefully so before the paragraph above.

 

Many people here do not feel ashamed of their sexual practices. Because our society says prostitution is illegal and debase does not necessarily mean it is something to be ashamed of.

 

Paying for physical contact and getting what one wants on their terms is just a very high degree of control.

 

Could I "get some" without paying for it? I have and I do. But, when I pay for it, it is exactly what I want, when I want it and for how long I want it.

 

Your point was made way before you somewhat degraded what many people do here as consumers and providers.

 

I may be off and I may be misinterpreting what you meant. And not that your venom as bothered me in the past, however, I am curious if you can respond back with some civility when someone has an opposing reaction to anything you post. I also missed the whole thing, so I am grateful for having it explained here. IT often happens that people preach one way and do another. I myself have been accused of the same thing. I dunno.
