fedssocr1
with all of the free porn in the world I don't really see the point. I used to get lots of sad stories but not so much recently for some reason. Guys who live nowhere near me but have nice pictures asking me to send them money because they're down on their luck, need money for books, or whatever. Or who want strictly platonic online "relationships". I often wonder if this sort of thing ever actually works for them.

+ Keith30309
I ran across this on Reddit. Most of the discussions are based on a MF arrangement but the same principles apply. It’s really interesting to read the posts of the (female) SB’s. SB - sugar baby / SD - sugar daddy / SM - sugar mamaSR - sugar relationshipSBF - sugar boyfriend / SGF - sugar girlfriendM&G - meet and greetPUA - pick up artistPPM - pay per meetSA - seeking.com (seeking arrangement)POT - potential sugar daddy or sugar babySplenda daddy - a man that only pays in the form of gifts and experiences Salt daddy - a man that takes sugar and didn't give any Rinser - a sugar baby that takes sugar and doesnt give any Studsearcher, MikeBiDude and + José Soplanucas
+ FreshFluff
There are some sugar babies who have been on there 5 or 6 years. There are some escorts as well although that seems to be discouraged. Happy to answer any other questions. When does an escort turn into a sugar baby? After a week? A month? rvwnsd
When does an escort turn into a sugar baby? After a week? A month? One month, four days, seventeen hours, and thirty-seven minutes. Exactly. Of course, I am being facetious. Couldn't resist. + FreshFluff
BSR
When does an escort turn into a sugar baby? After a week? A month? This question does make me wonder which is more common: escorts turning into sugar babies or sugar babies who become escorts. I'm guessing that the former is awfully common whereas the latter, at least in formal and official terms, somewhat rare. Who knows?

Most businesses prefer repeat customers and steady income, even with the drawbacks. When the long term clients dry up or get too demanding, shorter term contracts are sought. Of course, there are exceptions.
+ Keith30309
I’ve been reading the Reddit discussions of both SBs and escorts and there’s an interesting dynamic of SBs view of escorts as sex workers and escorts view of SBs as sex workers in denial. These are all straight women (or at least women who date men) and there’s a lot of grey area in the escort/SB space wherein some escorts speak of their sugar daddies and some SBs exchange tips on pay-per-meet dates and freestyling. In my view the distinction is a little blurry because ultimately both roles involve sex and money. You can’t really even distinguish them by intent to become emotionally engaged... that goes both ways. Perhaps the SB/escort’s view of their male partner is one way: either 1) he’s a guy i see many times who gives me money and I just happen to have sex with, or, 2) he’s a guy I have sex with in exchange for money, Are there platonic SBs? Yeah, but not many. Are there escorts who have platonic meetings? Yeah but not many. I do think this is skewed in that the SBs who post on Reddit tend to be a little more professional about it than most new SBs. i also have an appreciation for why Seekingarrangement is so hypersensitive about discussions of sex and money. Without a distinction they are essentially the world‘s largest escort agency. fedssocr1, LivingnLA and MikeBiDude
+ Keith30309
The irony of the email I received this morning is striking to me: Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, it appears you had a previous account that was permanently suspended for soliciting sex in exchange for compensation. We were able to verify your ownership of this account using information on the profiles. You are banned from WhatsYourPrice.com and any of our sister sites. MscleLovr
Intriguing email @Keith30309. 1. I’d never heard of WhatsYourPrice.com but I’m glad they signed off with “Warm Regards” to you. 2. They accuse you of “soliciting sex...for compensation” - the site wants ”generous members” who solicit dates for compensation. 3. Such “generous members” only pay “for that first date”. I’d like to know how the website polices all these first dates, which obviously are entirely platonic, and ensures that all further dates are not ‘compensated’ in any way. Truly, heterosexual men (aka generous members) lead strange lives meeting “out of your league” women (aka attractive members) who “get reimbursed for the time and effort (preparing) for the date”. Perhaps as a gay man and only a top, I should now think of reimbursing all my ex-boyfriends and former lovers for all the time they spent douching to be ready for our ‘first dates’ ;-) BSR

Warm Regards, Alana WhatsYourPrice Support The hypocrisy is blatant but completely understandable. They have no choice but to do this when they become aware of money-for-sex transactions on their platform. If they fail to act so aggressively, they become exposed legally to the same fate as Backpage. It's the result of the USA's continued unwillingness to legalize and regulate sex-work. + Keith30309

+ Keith30309
? I didn’t realize that “What Is Your Price” has nothing whatsoever to do the transfer of money but rather was a metaphorical rhetorical to inspire introspective meditations. My bad. EastCoastBob
I would be careful posting about seeking arrangement guys here; I knew two who were offended that they were discussed in this way on an external site (especially if they didn’t consider themselves escorts). I’m not saying it’s right (after all, these boys are on seeking arrangement...), but the relationship is more tenuous than a clear cut escort connection. I would never post any personal info about a SA individual. Studsearcher
What do you guys take it to mean when a profile says ‘looking for my king’? I’m not at all up to date on slang and urban dictionary leaves it open to interpretation.
MscleLovr
I take it to mean they’re looking for “the one” or “Mr Right”, and it implies a high-level man who will be their ‘rock’. LivingnLA
