PK as fellow Sicilian I am formally requesting that you or any of your "connected" family NOT take Mr. Gaite on what might be considered a "Jersey" ride. For those unfamiliar with the terminology a "Jersey ride" is considered a car ride that you don't come back from. Think Jimmy Hoffa, many members of the DeCavalcante family and their business associates, "mobbed up" labor union leaders who can't keep their big mouths shut etc. etc.

And yes, it's the year for the Cubs. Coming off a 97-win season they fortified the team -- taking two players from the dreaded Cardinals -- and come back with the same core, the core that will be with the team until the year 2021.

 

When Theo Epstein and Joe Maddon break the curse of the billy goat they may well see Lake Michigan renamed after them.

Ah, that shot of Trout, shirtless in the clubhouse . . . (swoon). I'm guessing he's one of those baseball players that spend a lot of time naked in the clubhouse; or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.

 

Also, more artistically, eating the Cheerios out of the trophy cup is hysterically funny; and the shot of him in the pickup with the baseball bats in the gun rack is fantastic also. I THINK that was from an ESPN feature on him, but perhaps SI . . .
