This reminds me of that Morgan Spurlock show, "30 Days" I think, four or five years ago. They'd take someone and put them in an unusual or uncomfortable situation for 30 days. The first episode was Morgan and his girlfriend living for 30 days on minimum wage jobs. One episode involved a, well, 'redneck' for lack of a better term, moving in with a Muslim family in Dearborn, MI (close to where I grew up!) for 30 days.

 

I loved that show. Fish out of water stories fascinate me.
