Any computer literate person can create identification that will fool most people, including fooling rentmen (but not law enforcement).

 

Do a Google search for "fake I D "

Or ask any undocumented immigrant. (I am not bashing immigrants!) I used to work in the rental apartment industry, and the quality of fake IDs available (driver's licenses, SS cards, student IDs, etc.) is impressive. Quality fakes have been readily available for decades. Or ask any 19 year old living in a state where the drinking age is 21. It used to be possible to call the Social Security department to ask if a specific SS number was valid (simply if the number had ever actually been issued,) but now the department will not give out any information at all. There is likely no way for RM to be able to verify if a picture ID such as a license is genuine. Requiring that they do so is unreasonable.

In addition to switching the photos like he did a while ago on the rentmen ad, he has another ad running in San Diego (with the same photos) on backpage.

No disappointment coriolis! I was joking on the fact that the scammer is only stealing pictures of Latinos. He will probe me wrong if next time he switches to African American, Asian, White, or something else.
