It could be that i'm seropositive. I was tested for Mumps (like a TB test; injection into the skin), which I'd never had (according to my mother), and had one of the most POSITIVE responses they'd ever seen.

That's a pretty sadistic way to check for mumps immunity. It can be determined with a simple blood test (mumps IgG). Even TB exposure is usually tested with a blood test now (called QuantiFeron), although the skin test way is less expensive for checking TB. If you were born before the early 60s, when the vaccine became widely available, you almost certainly contracted the virus, even if you didn't get visibly sick.
