the ungentlemanly gentlemen are hilarious,they can't find any posts made on this board by those of us that also post on the revolt board that violates their "standards"; so what do they do......well bippy i'll tell ya....they go to the other site (the one they would never visit) and find something they think is scandalous posted on that site (the site that places no restriction on speech) and either repost it or cut and paste it here on the "gentlemens" site.

 

 

now of course i wouldn't care, and am flattered that they think my post are so important that they have too share them with their fellow "gentlemen",but<<<<<always a but,but they use these posts to justify the arrows they sling at those of us that conform to the "standards" of this site when we point out to them (the ones that feel the need to control what people post)that THEY are not following their own rules.

 

we the posters of the other site follow the rules of BOTH boards even though we don't agree with the suffocating retrictions at m4ms.

Haven't the Administrators edited or deleted posts at the other site? If so, why would this be done if the posters are following the rules there?

I followed that thread closely from it's inception, being one of the parties named in the subject line, and there never were any missing posts (unless they were added in stealth mode or something). You can tell by reading, each consecutive entry follows clearly from the previous. No threading over there... it's just a dogpile kind of thing but in this case it's clear. Can someone explain to me why on Escortspeak there is an overwhelming focus on Hooboy's M4M and it's posters? What's the deal? I can't imagine something internet-based to be so frustrating to me that I spend *that* much time trying to debunk it. I give it a daily, cursory glance and that's about it. I don't think M4M forums is important enough to have an entirely seperate forum devoted to the discussion of it.

 

I can only suppose from the comparative dearth of posts on M4M about Escortspeak that no one here cares about it. Escortspeak seems to exist merely for a small group of posters (despite the high viewership) to complain about people that they don't like, and a site that they claim to despise but spend an awful lot of time talking about. The escort content is pretty much, if not entirely specious, rumor or trash-talk.

 

Also, "free" is an adjective, "freely" is an adverb.

This site doesn't allow the adults here to express all of the opinions they have. There's a "dearth" of posts here about the other Board? Really? I suppose that if the word "dearth" means "less than 85%," you may have a point. But I'd say the vast majority of active threads here are about exactly the other board and the posters who post there. And that's been the case ever since the other Board began.

The has been no real change as far as I can discern, notwithstanding the would-be revisionists of history hanging around here these days. HooBoy was big on civility and the lack of it disgusted him. His continung refrain was "attack the post and not the poster". IN response to flameouts he instituted moderation and moderators. He suspended people for abusing posting privileges and banished a few for repeated or extremely egregious offenses. IN response to one particulary virulent flameout he took the MC off line for a couple of weeks and brought it back in phased approach and under heavy moderation.

 

He also instituted the restriction on discussion of escorts in the Deli -- the 'ban' on escort 'reviews'in the Deli. Really less than reviews, rather detailed discussion of an escort encounter by a primary often seeking advice. I was sorry to see that policy instituted. I disagreed with it and still do. But I think I understand, in part, why he did it. Those threads often turned into a piling-on party long after all the substantive discussion had been hashed and rehashed. Daddy has chosen to continue the policy for whatever reason. No one can argue that it is less grief to ban the topic than to rely on responsible discussion. Nothing new, but still disappointing.

 

What is unfortunate is that the 'other site' offered potential as a forum to discuss these 'forbidden' topics. But rather than opt for a site that was open to reasonable discussion, they opted for a site that was open to abusive excess. A site that stressed form (or lack of it) over substance.

 

The only change around here that I see is that the rules were re-written to say damn near the same exact thing. The changes were more of form than content. So what is new?

 

Oh yeah, there is one other change. Revisionists are trying to turn the site into something it never was. Maybe they will succeed, maybe not. It's a struggle between daddy and them for the heart and soul of the site. Everyone else can complain or observe as the struggle unfolds or peters out.
