I have always enjoyed and still enjoy visiting the M4M site and reading the different messages on the board. However, after Hooboy passed away the site has in my opinion deteriorated. There are reasons for this:

Before, we were always sure that the escort reviews were up at 6 AM Eastern time and that there were new reviews EVERY day. Now the reviews are posted at different times and some days there are none at all. Is that because there are no new reviews available, or are there other reasons for this ?

To remove moderators like TRI was a big mistake. I don't think one should have given in to the very few persons who complained. The section about what is going on South of the US. was always very busy . It was fun to read and very informative. Now there is hardly any activity in this forum. The people who used to post are posting on another site and for us seeking information we consequently turn to the site where they are. This is really too bad.

I hope the people who administrate the M4M site will do something that this site can continue to be an informative and at the same time fun place for us who hire escorts wherever we are in the world.

I think we were spoiled by Hooboy's management of the site...there's no reason why we should always be assured of "new reviews every day by 6am Eastern"...that was ultra-generous of Hooboy and not necessary for him to guarantee...sorry, I know nothing of the "south of the border" section...and don't know about the drama with "TRI"...internet forums are notoriously controversial, usually, and melodrama is not avoidable, usually...the big new rules section that appeared here on the board after the brief shutdown a couple months ago appears to be a result of that same drama/frustration that everybody gets in a tizzy about...can't satisfy everybody...jeez, you guys, the site is free with minimally-invasive ads...take it easy, don't be a drama queen, post intelligently...maybe I'm too much of a pollyanna

I agree with most of Crazy's thoughts. Hooboy ran this site like a business, ot a casual hobby. New posts were up by the correct and there were no just skipped days for no apparent reason.

 

I do disagree about removing TRI as a moderator. His attitudes about the American people being "stupid" "uniformed" "being blind and following the blind" , etc.... are not appropriate for a moderator.

There are MANY examples in his posts of the above and his elitist attitude in his postings on the political board. Anyone who wishes can review them.

What you're really seeing though is the self hatred and loathing that Conway has for himself. It's frightening.

Every single post of interest, the highest numbered posts, the posts with the flame icons all have one things in common: the direction and participation of "The Mean Girls Club" If you take those posts away, you are left with the boringly pedantic trivia of OneFinger, the mindless meanderings of Conway or Jackhammer, the almost put not quite clever posts of Curmudgeon, or the "incomprehensible" posts of "JT" Brooklyn. There are a few exceptions of course, such as the fleetingly brilliant posts of FFF, but he is the exception that proves the rule.

I truly miss the input of Mark Anthony and his lastest twink finds and his and Tampa Yankee's Montreal updates. They are definitely the Montreal experts. Also I miss Totally Oz's Thailand updates. His info really added to my 2 trips to Thailand earlier this year. Their decision to stop posting have been a real loss for this site. As for Tri, I've never made it to Rio but must admit that he and others peaked my interest in the South of the USA section. The lack of participation there is also a real loss. Add to all that the closing of the G in NYC and lack of Dancer info and yes things have made a few steps backward. The weekly G update, as I understand it, use to get more hits than anything here except the reviews.

 

At the same time, even though Daddy seems to take weekends off for reviews, which I think is understandable, they are up almost daily with few breaks and without the mishaps that always seemed to befall Hooboy and his laptops.

HB met his self imposed 6am et deadline about 4 or 5 days of the 7 he put up reviews. He countless excuses errr reasons became a staple of this site. Many times a day or two would go by wothout explanation then a quick note as tocomputer problems or no highspeed Internet connection where he was at was all we were allowed to know.

 

Daddy, who has many faults in running this site, has at least been consistent with reviews. He takes weekends off (is your life so boring that you have to read new reviews every day of the week mr thread author?) but aside from his off days the reviews are up.

 

I've already documented herewithin that mac and Oz no longer post here due to a difference with managements view of HB's wishes for this site had he passed on.

 

TY and BG are the worst excuse for posters you can find. That fled THEIR gentleman's club quicker than OJ tried to escape capture in the infamous white Bronco "chase." After weeks of trying to bore us posters to death with their right wing view of this site they vanish. But that is a good thing.

On the reviews Daddy is doing a decent job, most days posting the reviews by 6 AM. The big different is that HooBoy made such a big deal about the effort and turmoil he had to overcome to post reviews on time. I will never forget Thanksgiving, 2000 when I was a newbie here. HooBoy must have changed hotels in London five or six times that week before he found a hotel with a proper computer connection. The drama in HooBoy's life often spilled over on to this site, so he seemed more commited. We all know that the drama is still continuing some months after HooBoy's death.

 

On Boston Guy and some of the others who left the site, I have several

comments. I deeply resented BG's lectures about how we should conduct

ourselves, especially since he was sometimes involved in some of the most controversial threads on the message center (and not in a positive way). Having said that, BG, Tri and some of the others who left did make very positive contributions to this site over the years.

I've been disappointed, but my disappointment has NOTHING to do with who's managing the site. I applaud Daddy for taking the weekends off; a guy needs a rest each week from whatever endeavor he is involved.

 

My dissatisfaction comes from a dearth in responses at a few of our forums: 'Escorts South...', 'Africa, Asia, and Australia,' 'Massage' and so on. If folks would write, others could respond to continue the dialogue...
