I have a close relationship with an escort reviewed on this site. He is listed on nearly every available free-to list site, plus men4rentnow. I can tell you that, after over a year of experience, 95% of his contacts come through men4rentnow. A few come through americanmale.net, and a few more through male4escort.com. He's not listed on any other pay-to-be-listed sites.

 

That said, he's based in the Midwest, and markets vary. It's clear that in large markets, rentboy is very popular, and you might consider that since you're based in Baltimore.

 

I've been following the escort listing scene for several years now, (and with several escorts who I've mentored), and I can tell you that men4rentnow probably drives more traffic overall than any other site.

As a client, I used to totally hate its interface and only changed my mind somewhat after the most recent set of changes. If someone had asked me, I'd have told them that I thought M4RN was pretty much dead. But that's just based on my own web surfing and preferences and the fact that it seems like guys on M4RN never, ever get back to you in a reasonable amount of time (like within a few days).

 

But I'm sure your information is much, much more in tune with the market and he would do well to heed it.

 

The site I do tend to like after Rentboy is American Male Escorts.

Rentboy is my least favorite. Performance problems aside, they have so much auto-refreshing content on their pages it seems no page ever finishes loading. ;-) They do seem to be pretty adept at moving ads from location to location when a guy travels, though. A lot of escorts have told me they really appreciate this feature.

 

M4RN seems the best performance-wise, but I hate that they list guys who are willing to travel (or, it seems, have ever thought of travel) to any city with the guys that are actually IN the city. (You can get around that through an advanced search, where there's an option not to show those.)

 

AmericanMale seems to keep old ads forever. But they win props for taking positive steps to eradicate ads from our dear pal Cupcake a while back, and they do identify unverified listings. Plus, they're the simplest site graphically, and there's a lot to be said for being fast and simple.

 

The amazing thing is that you can talk to 10 different escorts about where their most effective advertising results come from and get 10 different answers.

 

No site can be everything to everyone. <shrug> All of them have something to offer.

BG you are not the only one who doesn't get replies back. I have recieved countless emails and responded within the day 9 times out of 10 and rarely get a reply back so don't feel left out. My guess is that this happens a lot for both client and escorts.

well, I have def got some good ideas.

I recently paid stupi drentboy 25 bucks to list on there. Alls I have gotten are 3am botty calls from horny spanish people who have a rough time speaking english.

 

bleh. Time to pull it.
